Research On The Influence Of FDI In Anhui Province On The Export Commodity Structure

Since the 1990s,the scale of foreign direct investment in Anhui Province has been gradually expanded.The number of foreign-funded enterprises in Anhui Province has been increasing year by year.The policy of opening to the outside world has also made great achievements in export trade,improving the structure of export trade.Foreign capital has provied the sufficient sources of fund for Anhui Province,what's more,FDI has promoted the economic development.At the same time,the structure of export commodities in Anhui Province is constantly being optimized,and it is in the transition period,which will convert to the structure which is mainly export capital-intensive products.Therefore,studying the relationship between FDI and the structure of export commodities is more meaningful than studying the relationship between FDI and the total volume of export trade.However,we don't konw the relationship between FDI and the structure of export commodities whether exist or not?We also don't konw the increase of FDI whether affect the upgrading of export commodities structure or not?If there is a relationship between them,we can't sure FDI will promote the export structure?In addition,the proportion of manufactured goods in exports is an important index to measure the structure of export commodities.And labor-intensive products and capital-intensive products are very important for studying the structure of export commodities.Therefore,they are important for us to study structure of export commodities,which are capital-intensive products and labor-intensive products.This paper qualitatively analyzes the current situation of Anhui Province of foreign direct investment,which consist by four aspects that are the total amount of FDI,the source distribution,the regional distribution and the industrial flow.through analysing the primary products and the exports of industrial products and the coefficient of export commodities,we can draw the following conclusions,first,the proportion of industrial products has been incresed,second,the structure of export commodity coefficient has beenimproved,last,the number of exports of capital-intensive has been increasing,they reflect the structure is constantly improving.Then,this paper uses ADF unit root test,cointegration test and error correction model,to study the relationship between FDI and industrial products exports,and the relationship between FDI and capital-intensive products exports,and the relationship between FDI and export commodities structure coefficient.The empirical results show that,in the long-term,FDI can promote the export of capital-intensive products and labor-intensive products,and has a positive effect on the improvement of the export product structure coefficient.The effect to capital-intensive is largest,that indicate FDI is conducive to improving the technical content of exports,and to upgrading the export commodities structure.On the basis of empirical analysis,this paper illustrates FDI can affect export commodities structure through three ways,one is exporting high-tech products to enhance the technological level of exports,another is improving the structure of the export market to promote the optimization of export commodities structure,the last one is increasing the export of industrial products to improve the coefficient of export commodity structure.Finally,on the basis of the analysis,which are the analysis of current situation of FDI and the empirical analysis of the relationship between FDI and export commodities structure,this paper proposes some policy suggestions on how to promote Anhui Province's export commodities structure,which from the macro and micro perspectives,the following are the four suggestions,first,how to improve the investment environment to attract multinational corporations,second,how to improve the quality of FDI to promote the upgrading of commodity structure,third,how to improve the structure of FDI so that it can lay the foundation for optimizing the structure of export commodities,last but not least,how to use technology spillover effect to increase the technological added value of export products.
