Land Ecological Status Evaluation And Land Ecological Zoning In Zhejiang Province

As a basic element for the development of the society and economy,the total quantity,quality,and ecological status of the land plays an extremely important role in the progress of human society and the improvement of production efficiency.Recent years,with the gradual progress of urbanization in China,the contradiction between the expansion of urban and the protection of land ecological became more and more prominent.The ecological issues of the land had attracted much attention.So it's urgent to carry on the science appraisal and put forward the reasonable and feasible measures and suggestions to the land ecological environmental quality.The paper took Zhejiang Province as an example,Comprehensive used of remote sensing information technology and GIS spatial analysis methods,Combined with land use,soil,vegetation,topography,meteorological and socio-economic data in research area,based on comprehensive analysis,constructed the indicators system of comprehensive evaluation,which covering the natural conditions of the land(soil conditions,site conditions,vegetation conditions,and climatic conditions),structural status indicators(landscape diversity index,land use/coverage index),land degradation indicators(land degradation index),and ecological pressure indicators.(Ecological Pressure Index),and finished the evaluation of land ecology status of Zhejiang province.Based on this,the principal component analysis method and correlation analysis method were introduced to comprehensively analyze the results.Finally,based on the assessment results,the ecological zone of the study area was finished.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Starting from the natural,economic,and ecological factors in the study area,a three-level evaluation index system for the ecological status of land in Zhejiang Province is constructed,which includes 4 criteria levels,five indicator levels,and 22 element indicators.(2)The assessment results showed that the ecological conditions of land in Zhejiang Province are generally good.The comprehensive score range of land ecological conditions in the research area was 0.276-0.731.Then,the boundary points were identified by the Jenks optimal method,and the comprehensive results of the land ecological status assessment was classified as poor,general,good and excellent,and excellent grades.The area with good or excellent land ecological conditions accounted for 91.20%of the research area.(3)Based on the principal component analysis of the comprehensive evaluation results,the results revealed that five indicators including land use pattern diversity index,woodland proportion,farmland degradation rate,grassland degradation rate and population density are the main component indicators.Based on the correlation analysis of the above five principal components and composite scores,it showed that the combined scores of land ecological status in research area are significantly related to the three indicators of woodland proportion,population density,and land use pattern diversity index.Meanwhile,there is no obvious correlation between the rate of degradation of farmland and grassland degradation rate.Thus it was found that the decisive factor in the land ecological status was the original woodland conditions and human activities in research area.(4)Based on the assessment results of the land ecological status and High/low clustering analysis model,integrating the requirements of "the main functional zoning of Zhejiang province","ecological function zoning of Zhejiang province" and other plans,according to the results of the ecological status evaluation,Zhejiang Province is divided into 4 parts including land ecological barrier area,land ecological security area,land ecological conservancy area and land ecology cultivation area.The area of land ecological barriers is 47792.3km2,accounting for 45.8%of the total area;the land ecological security area covers an area of 35653.5 km2,accounting for 34.1%of the total area.The ecological conservation area of the land is 6026.9 km2,accounting for 5.8%of the total area;the land ecological cultivation area is 14985.6 km2,accounting for 14.3%.
