The Fuji Photo Film Co,founded in 1934,was entrusted with the localization of film and photographic film in japan.The company has developed civil use film,photographic paper,X-ray film,lamination film,presensitized plate,tapes and related equipment,as well as information technology products.In 2000.the film related business accounted for 60%of the total turnover of Fuji film,and profits accounted for 2/3.With the development of science and technology,arrival of the digital era cause color film market demand fell sharply.Color film as the main source of profits of the Fuji Photo Film Co,almost in the state of total collapse,the Fuji Photo Film Co was in the brim of life and death.Fuji Photo Film Co was facing a huge crisis unparalleled,but after reform corporate structure,the company successfully pass through all the difficulties.Nowadays,from national economy to all trades and professions,are facing challenges of reform and transformation.China is speeding up economic restructuring,transformation and upgrading,as well as vigorously promoting supply side reform.In order to face challenges in the digital era,Fuji Photo Film Co,through independent development,now focus on three strategies including develop digital technology,enhance the vitality of the photosensitive material,and develop new application areas.Fuji film timely transit from a company which can only produce photosensitive material to a corporation with 6 diversified business segments such as life science,image processing,high performance materials,optical components,digital imaging and document processing etc..After completion of the transformation,Fuji Film again on the way to success.This paper adopts the method of literature review,case analysis and strategic management theory,to analyze actual situation of the Fuji Photo Film Co,and use strategic analysis tools such as the Potter five forces model,PEST and SWOT to analyze the Fuji Photo Film Co,to get the company strategic positioning,development strategy framework,differentiation strategy in the development process,and to analyze and summarize the internal and external environment,company resources and capabilities.This paper discusses the development strategy of Fuji Photo Film Co,to re-examine the industry environment,from the transformation and upgrading,enhance the competitiveness of enterprises,pioneering and innovative business development strategy point of view,I hope through the study of Japanese enterprise transformation strategy to bring inspiration and reference for the transformation and innovation of Multinational and Chinese enterprises...
