In the age of value management systems centered on personality and value manifestation,companies and employees are beginning to seek each other with the same values as themselves.At the same time,management theory tends to study the issue of values,and forms the constructs of work values,professional values,consumer values and so on.The study about compensation values is also the first time that scholars have studied salary issues from the perspective of values.Similarly,salary increase can break the employee's expected thoughts the dynamic changes of their compensation,it is not only the core source of incentives generated by the compensation,but also one of the core elements of the equivalence perception of values to employee's pay raises.Therefore,we study the salary increase from the perspective of values,propose the concept of employees' salary values,focus on the development of employees' salary increments,and obtain the dimensions and structure of employees' salary values,and then check the reliability of the scales validity.Based on literature research,this paper sorts out the concept of values and salary increase,and initially defines the employee's raises values as the perceptions,understandings,judgement and decisions made by the employees based on their sense of the organization's raises equivalent to their value.After determining the subjects related to our topics,we conducted the in-depth interviews.We extract 40 questions from the interview contents after interviewing and distribute the questionnaires to employees again as an initial questionnaire database.After collecting the data,we conduct the exploratory factor analysis and finally refine the scale to 5 dimensions and 18 items.The 5 dimensions are respectively the level of perception of fairness,the manifestation of capability value,the fulfillment of dignity,the specification of salary increase process and the match of expected prosperity,and then we fit the best second-order five-factor model that meet the standard through the confirmatory factor analysis,and this model has a good structural validity.In order to verify the validity of the scale,we select in-role and extra-role performance as correlation criteria and analyze the data obtained.It was found that employees' salary increase values have a significant positive predictive effect on employees' in-role performance(r=0.297,p<0.001)andextra-role performance(r=0.306,p<0.001),which indicates the effectiveness of the scale of the employee's raises values is validated.Through the above steps,we have obtained the scale of employee's raises values with high reliability and validity,and then discussed the research conclusions,research deficiencies and future research directions.
