In modern economic society,finance is the core of economic construction.Financial consumers,as the important participants,have a huge influence in financial development.The innovation of financial products and financial services has raised the speed of the development of financial market.More and more financial disputes made people gradually realize the necessity of the protection of financial consumers.Based on the research and practice in the world,the consumers' rights and interests protection is closely related to the development of the financial sector.It decides whether the financial system can work safely,stably and efficiently.One of the important reasons for the outbreak of the sub-prime crisis in 2008 was the ineffective regulation of financial institutions.The disorderly market caused serious damages to the financial consumers' interests.Therefore,building an effective protection mechanism is crucial to financial regulatory reform.As an emerging market and consumer groups,China has made many efforts on the legal norms and regulatory system construction.In July 2012,the People's Bank of China set up Consumer Financial Protection Agency to protect financial consumers' rights and interests.On March 15 th 2014,with the new Consumer Protection Law taking into effect,the bank,insurance and other financial consumers will be included into the framework system.But in the practice of decentralized management,the poor implementation of protection of financial consumers have led to the frequent occurrence of financial dispute,which has negative effects on the management,fame and competitiveness of financial enterprises.As the difficulty and key point in business administration,this paper is based on the experience in financial regulation,through the summary of literature and related theories,combined with some data.The author analyzes the present situation of Chinese society.Taking example of the M bank,which is the subject of business management,the existing problems of the protection of financial consumers' rights and interests can be reflected.By studying the foreign advanced experience,the purpose of the research is to put forward some feasible measures.The paper mainly consists of seven chapters:Chapter 1 is the explanation of the research objectives and requirements.At first,this chapter analyzes and discusses the achievements about the protection of financial consumers' rights and interests in domestic and abroad.Secondly,it expounds the background and significance of this research.At last,it calls out the innovation and the insufficiency of this essay according to the contents and methods.Chapter 2 is the basic theory about the research questions.Based on the prospective of domestic and overseas,the author tries to conclude the concept and basic rights of financial consumers.With the basis and principles of protection,it will set up the theoretical foundation for further discussion.Chapter 3 discusses the current situation of our country.This chapter talks about the achievements in system,law,solutions,and international communication in China.In the meantime,some statistical data show the problems of financial supervision platform.Chapter 4 analyzes the typical financial dispute cases of M bank.Through the problems in the financial services of deposit,credit,insurance,securities and trust,this chapter reflects the defects of protection mechanism of financial consumer in peoples' real lifeChapter 5 explores the reason why financial consumers' rights get injured.Based on the different participators,including judicial department,supervision department,financing institution and so on,this chapter discusses the reasons of the current situation in protecting consumers' rights and interests in China.Chapter 6 analyzes and discusses the experience of foreign countries.Based on the practical experience of developed countries abroad,including the United States,Britain and Japan,this chapter provides approaches to solve some problems about the protection of financial consumers in China.Chapter 7 lists the suggestions to prefect the system of protection in China.According to the principle of protection and requirements,this paper puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the legal system,improve the information disclosure system,set up the financial consumer dispute resolution mechanism,bring forth new ideas in supervision methods,and strengthen the education of consumer rights protection,and so on.
