Study On The Coupled Relationships Among Environmental Investment,Environment And Social & Economic

Environmental quality is the fundamental basis for human survival,development and well-being,while the environmental protection investment,as a measure factor and key support for the protection of environment and the protective effect,has been focused on and debated by the world governments,industry organizations and folks.These focuses mainly concentrate in:how much should environmental protection investment be to reach the effect or goals of environmental protection? Is there a continuous linear or nonlinear relationship existed in environmental protection investment on economy? Is there the most reasonable and effective proportion of environmental protection investment to GDP,so that to both effectively protect the environment and promote the all-round development of economy and society?This article,based on the research of the scale for the environmental protection investment to promote the environment and to be good for social and economic development,considers the influence caused by the environmental protection investment to environmental changes on forests,energy,water,air,solid waste,etc.,and to such social economic development indicators like life expectancy,level of education and economic development.Proceed from the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods,using the dynamic coupling model to analyze 16 years of relevant data from 1998 to 2013 for selected 22 European Union countries,the paper mainly discusses the dynamic coupling coordination relationship among environment changes,social &economic development and environmental protection investment.Combined with the actual general situation of the social economy development and the environmental protection investment,the further study on the clustering analysis will be made to discuss the universality and regularity.The curve fitting between environmental protection investment and coupling coordination degree on environment and social economy is made at the same time,,presenting the functional relationship between the two.Through the above study,we may arrive at the following preliminary conclusions:(1)Among the three elements including the environmental protection investment,environmental changes,and social and economic development,there is a positive correlation formost countries,indicating that environmental protection investment contributes to the improvement of environment and social and economic development.Meanwhile,there is also a strong positive correlation between environmental change and social & economic development.(2)In most countries,the coupling relationship among environmental protection investment,environmental changes and social and economic development presents the following trend: 1)In most countries,the higher the environmental investment is,the better the coupling of environmental change and social and economic development will be,and the reverse is the same;2)In few countries,the environmental protection investment is high,but the degree of coordination with environmental change and social economic development is on average level.According to most countries' experience,increasing environmental protection investment is conducive to environmental improvement and social economic development.However,the different situations in a few countries reflect the differences existing in investment structure,the type of pollution,and the statistical caliber.The exploration of the increase degree of environmental protection investment intensity can provide reference for these countries.(3)With the increase of environmental protection investment,coupling coordination degree of environment and social economy will continue to grow,and after reaching the peak,it will stop increasing.As the environmental protection makes a further increase,the coordination between the two will be adjusted so that coordination will not perform an unlimited increase tendency.(4)According to the data analysis of EU countries,when the proportion of environmental protection investment is 4.5%~4.7%,environment and social economic development are in a relatively well coordinated development condition.If it's below this interval value,the environment and the social and economic coordination degree continues rising;if it's higher than this interval value,the promoting effect to environment and social and economic development is not obvious,and even results in a recession.China and the European Union countries environmental protection investment have different statistical methods and statistical indicators.But in China,there can also be the most effective value in environmental investment to help the development,and the value given by this thesis may be used as a reference to further develop and strengthen the environmental protection enterprise in China.
