In the more than 30 years of reform and opening up,China's economic growth has increased by leaps and bounds. While creating a “China's growth miracle”,we should clearly understand that at present our country's economic growth pattern still belongs to “extensive” factor-input growth models. The contribution of factor productivity to economic growth is weak. The theory of endogenous economic growth holds that technological progress is the driving force and source of a country's economic growth, and the technology spillover effect of i nternational trade is one of the main channels for stimulating technological progress in various countries. The rapid development of international trade in the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta regions in China has achieved remarkable results.Howe ver, with the acceleration of global economic integration, the Yangtze River Delta Region and the Pearl River Delta Region have made great differences in the scale and structure of their trade due to their geographical location, economic development model, and different policy orientation, resulting in two areas of trade technology. The difference in spillover effects. In view of this, the Yangtze River Delta region and the Pearl River Delta region are selected as the research object, and the data of import and export trade and technological progress between the two regions from 2006 to 2016 are used.Based on the CH linear regression model, the technical spillover effects of the two regions are performed.Based on the empirical research,a comparative study of the technology spillover effects of import and export trade between the two regions was conducted based on empirical results. The results show that: First, the technology spillover effect of export trade in the Yangtze River Delta region is stronger th an that of the Pearl River Delta region;second, the effect of import trade on the technology spillover in the Yangtze River Delta region is not significant, and it has an inhibitory effect on the technological progress in the Pearl River Delta region; It promoted technological progress in the Pearl River Delta, but did not improve its production efficiency. The research work of this paper is mainly divided into the following seven parts: The first part is the introduction. This paper expounds the research background, research significance, research status at home and abroad, and puts forward the research content and possible innovation of this paper. The second part is the theoretical basis.First,it briefly introduced the model of technological progress, the “total factor productivity” model, and its theoretical development. Then it theoretically analyzed the impact of import and export trade on technological progress. Finally,it introduced the CH model and made it appropriate. The adjustments will pave t he way for the empirical part of this article. The third part is to sort out and study the current situation of foreign trade in the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta. The collation and analysis of trade status in the Yangtze River Delta region and the Pearl River Delta region from three aspects of trade output value, trade scale, and trade regional structure provide detailed data for the comparative study section of Chapter 6 of this paper. The fourth part is to measure the growth rate of total factor productivity. In this paper, the Malmquist index method is used to use DEAP software to measure the growth rate of total factor productivity in the Yangtze River Delta region and the Pearl River Delta region and decompose it into a technical progre ss index and a technical efficiency index. Finally, the calculation results of the two regions are analyzed. The fifth part is the empirical test. The panel econometric model was used to examine the intrinsic relationship between import and export trade an d technological progress in the Yangtze River Delta region and the Pearl River Delta region. The sixth part is the comparative analysis part, which is also the core content of this paper. The empirical results of the technical spillover effects of the impo rt and export trade in the Yangtze River Delta region and the Pearl River Delta region were compared and analyzed, and the reasons for the differences were analyzed in terms of trade scale, structure, and human capital. The seventh part is conclusions and recommendations.
