Availability Analysis Of Phosphorus Ore Resources And Their Trend Of Exploitation And Utilization In China

Phosphate rock resources are non-renewable and non-replaceable non-metallic mineral resources that cannot be secondarily recycled.They are important chemical mineral raw materials and mainly used in the production of phosphate fertilizer.By the end of 2012,the reserves of 20.066 billion tons of phosphate rock resources in China seems to be enough.In fact,however,the phosphate-rich and accessible deposits are less and most of the deposits are phosphate-poor and hard to exploit.The phosphate rock resources are also unevenly distributed.According to the existing economic and technical conditions,the exploitable reserves of phosphate rock resources?P₂O₅>25%?are about 2.1 billion tons.In 2012,the production of phosphate rock in our country is 95.295 million tons.In calculation of the depletion in the mining process,the consumption of phosphate rock reserves is as many as 120million tons.By this reckoning,the recoverable reserves of the existing phosphate rock resources can only last for 17 years.Therefore,in order to optimize and adjust the available capacity of the existing phosphate rock resources and make strategy and plan for their development,it's urgent to carry out the availability analysis of phosphate rock resources and the study of their trend for exploit.The theories and methods of mineral resource availability are introduced in this thesis.By introducing the characteristics of the phosphate rock resources in China,their storage,production,trade,price,etc.in China have been analyzed,and the patterns and position of their production and trade have been identified.We built the model for their availability analysis and put forward the calculation method and procedure for the availability index.We also proved the feasibility of the availability model by examples and get the result table and curve of availability for the phosphate rock resources in China.Because many other countries took restrict measures for the exploit of phosphate rock resources out of concerning strategic reserves,and the reserves of high quality phosphate rock resources are reducing,their rareness has become more and more obvious.Based on the current relationship of reserves and production-demanding of phosphorus ore resources around the world,the characteristics,exploitation and utilization situation of phosphorus ore resources in China have been introduced,and their trend of exploitation and utilization has been analyzed.The result shows that there will be a short supply of rich phosphorus ores and a notable trend of combination of phosphorus resources,and that the transformation and updating of their exploitation and utilization would inevitably accelerate.According to the prediction and the trend of exploitation and utilization of phosphorus ore resources consumption in China,advices on their reasonable exploitation have been given to sustain the development of the phosphorus chemical industry.
