True 3D model tilt photography mainly refers to the UAV aerial survey,and digital camera from different angles continuous photographs based 3D model generated by modeling software,namely tilt model.In recent years,the application of tilt model in surveying and mapping,remote sensing,land and other fields is increasing.The authenticity of the tilt model is also increasing.Aiming at the problems of large amount of data and slow transmission speed,some simplified methods are put forward,but the simplified model has some disadvantages,such as poor visual effect,low efficiency,large deformation and so on.This article mainly deals with the above shortcomings on the basis of edge collapse and puts forward the improved tilt model simplification algorithm based on vertex unit normal vector.This algorithm is improved mainly from two aspects:geometry features and texture features.In terms of geometric features,it is improved through the unit normal vector vertex method,improved long triangle and edges method and the cumulative error method.The texture features is improved by the texture distortion,stretching.The improved simplification algorithm based on texture features is naturally integrated into simplification algorithm based on geometric features in order to improve the visual effect of the simplified tilt model and shorten the time,at the same time limit the texture distortion phenomenon.Finally,the experimental research is on the effect of texture mapping of the simplified tilt model.On the VS 2010 platform,combined with OSG library for the C++.the data with the*.osg format is read into the tilt model program to be simplified,and the experimental analysis is done compared with QEM simplification algorithm.Experimental results show that the simplified algorithm is good to keep the visual effect of the Tilt model,also greatly reduces the amount of data,shorten the time to simplify,and limit the texture distortion phenomenon at the same time.Texture map experiments show that when the texture area is certain,the texture resolution that meet the visual effect is in a certain range,and when the minimum number is chosen,it satisfies the visual effect and reduces the data redundancy.Finally the simplified algorithm is integrated into the internship units skewed monomer model in software.
