Nowadays,scientists are trying their best to find out the formation and evolution of Earth's terrestrial land,the historical process of continental collision and extrusion,the influence of plate tectonics on the deformation in the interior of the continent,and the changes in the Earth's paleoclimate.If we had an Ice and Bedrock Electromechanical Drill(IBED)to get the ice bedrock cores directly,it would be necessary for scientists to solve these scientific problems.This paper aims to design and realize the control system of IBED that can be used to drill through the Gamble Burundi mountain range for obtaining bedrock samples directly.Firstly,this paper gives a general overview of the drilling system of IBED and introduction of each subsystem;Secondly,the design requirements and scheme design of the measurement and control system are introduced.The control system includes the ice surface measurement and control system,the measurement and control system in the drill,the power and data transmission system.The ice surface measurement and control system is mainly used for receiving and displaying the key parameters of the ice surface equipment and the measurement and control of the drilling system in real time and realizing the downloading of corresponding remote commands,While drilling and measuring and controlling system to finish the drilling process of the drilling parameters of the collection,transmission and other work.Then the design for system hardware is presented.This part takes STM32F103 one-chip computer as the core,including the power supply circuit,the main control circuit,the data acquisition circuit and the communication circuit.System software design section introduced the human-computer interaction interface,data acquisition and processing and database functions.Finally,a series of the tests and control system are debugged.Finally,this paper developed a polar ice bedrock monitoring and control system,has completed the relevant functional tests in the laboratory and workshop simulation platform test.The test results demonstrate the stability and reliability of the system,and the overall joint testing of all the equipment will be carried out in Changchun.
