A remarkable feature of glow discharge plasma electrolysis is the novel Faraday effect.Therefore,the application of glow discharge plasma has become a hot topic both at home and abroad.The characteristics of liquid phase glow discharge plasma are studied in this paper.The main research work is as follows:The basic characteristics of discharge in the positive column and cathode region of glow discharge are analyzed.A theoretical model for the generation of liquid glow discharge plasma is established.The evolution of microscopic parameters such as particle density,channel radius,pressure and temperature with time and space is analyzed.A reactor for liquid phase glow discharge has been developed.The reactor is a vertical H type reactor.The tungsten electrode is used for the discharge electrode,and the stainless steel plate is used for the auxiliary electrode.Experiments of glow discharge in different concentrations of ethanol and water can be achieved.A liquid phase glow discharge plasma diagnostic system is developed.The system is composed of Holzer current sensing and data acquisition,the ignition and steady state diagnosis of glow discharge can be realized.An experimental device for liquid phase glow discharge is set up,the behavior of contact glow discharge under liquid was studied by using water and ethanol solution as reaction solution respectively.The current voltage characteristic curve of the solution is drawn.It is found that the critical voltage of glow discharge is 673V in water whose conductivity is 0.8mS·cm-1,and the solution temperature is 30 degrees.The critical voltage of glow discharge is 452V in 99.7%ethanol whose conductivity is 2mS·cm-1,and the solution temperature is 60 degrees.The experimental results show that the concentration of solution has little effect on threshold voltage and threshold power,the threshold voltage is inversely proportional to the conductivity and electrode spacing of the solution,and is directly proportional to the solution temperature,the threshold electric power is inversely proportional to the solution temperature,and is directly proportional to the conductivity and electrode spacing of the solution.
