With the increasing demand of the mineral resources and the deepening of mineral geological survey, use advanced three-dimensional geological modeling technology effectively, can make the underground ore body of the main geological structure and material composition of transparency, which can deepen of ore deposit underground geological structure, material composition and metallogenic regularity of understanding, which will provide a scientific basis for deep geological prospecting in our country. The research and records of Archean volcanic massive sulfide deposits(VMS)in Noranda area are very detailed. The past 94 years we have seen 20 economically valuable VMS deposits discovered and exploited through prospecting, geology, geophysics and geochemistry.Among them, the output of gold from Horne deposit is 10 million ounces, with a total value of 5.2 billion US dollars. With a total value of $5.2 billion.Compared with other Archean deposits in Quebec, the Horne deposit produces the most Au and Cu.So,the Horne deposit is an important deposit in the Noranda area.Further studies of the Horne deposits have had a profound impact on improving the metallogenic model of volcanic massive sulphides(VMS).In this paper, regional geological data, mining plan, grade collection data, pit map and drilling data of the Horne deposits in the Noranda area of The Archean Blake River Group of the Abitibi Subprovince are extensively collected, and processed digitally according to unified standards to establish a database.Based on the constraint of basic geological information, and according to the digitized data, borehole and exploration line section data, the GOCAD software is used to construct the three-dimensional geological structure model of the ore body to reveal the three-dimensional geometric characteristics of the ore body.Interpolate the three-dimensional model and establish the attribute model, and study the spatial distribution law and control factors of Au-Cu in the ore body. The main achievements are as follows:(1)MAPGIS software was used to digitize the mining plan, pit map and boundary of massive sulfide in drilling shaft trace of Horne deposit with different depths and the grade data of 32367 gold and copper among them, and establish a database.(2)The three-dimensional model and the grade attribute model of Horne deposit are established by GOCAD software to reflect the whole picture of geological body realistically. The modeling methods of ore body spatial model and attribute model are summarized.(3)According to the established model, the spatial distribution patterns of Horne deposit are summarized. The main fault location between the upper Horne ore body and the lower Horne ore body is proposed and the 3d model is used to verify the location of the ancient graben edge.(4)According to the property model of Horne deposit and the way of displaying the grade value of copper,it is put forward that the copper enrichment area is spatially consistent with the basic dike of volcanic period, and the high-grade ore belt is accompanied by strong shear and folding; It is speculated that the location and alteration channels of hydrothermal vents of the upper and lower Horne orebodies.(5)Summarize the metallogenic model and the reasons for gold enrichment in the Horne deposit, and point out its promoting effect on the scientific research and prospecting work of the same type of gold deposits in China.
