The construction of nature protected area plays an important role in biodiversity conservation and global ecological security.Rivers are an important component in nature protected area.Nevertheless, rivers are usually overlooked during the construction of protected area.On the basis of summarizing relevant researches on river protected area construction internally and externally, from the perspective of complex ecosystem, the paper researches river protection pattern of the Qingzhu River watershed.Firstly, based on the composition of basin ecosystem, the water ecosystem, the forest cover in basin and the interference about human activities in basin are selected as three major factors of river ecological conservation.Secondly, using the theory and methodology of system protection planning, applying Marxan software to calculate the irreplaceability value of system protection planning, the irreplaceable-index distribution image is obtained, and the fish is used as indicated species to screen preferential protected area of the basin water ecosystem. The forest cover index data set can be imported into GIS,and the forest coverage rate is extracted to obtain the forest cover index image.Based on the improvement which combines reality, the human footprint index distribution image is obtained. Finally, the weights of the three protected factors are confirmed by expert scoring method, and the protection pattern model is established by combining respective calculation indicators of these three factors. The above three images are superimposed to obtain the river ecological protection hotspot distribution image, which can build ecological protection pattern of Qingzhu River according to the image. On account of the research,we draw a conclusion as following:(1)A watershed ecological protection pattern model is constructed.Through the perspective of the composition about the water ecosystem in basin, the forest covering situation and the human activities situation in basin, these three factors are selected for comprehensive analysis.Combining the system protection planning algorithm, forest coverage index, human footprint index and expert scoring, the model of watershed ecological protection pattern is constructed.(2)The watershed protection hotspot distribution image is obtained by overlapping comprehensively.Based on the calculation results, the model is superimposed to obtain the image of the Qingzhu River ecological protection hotspot which include Tangjiahe National Nature Reserve,Dongyanggou Provincial Nature Reserve, the partial section of Qingjiang River Endemic Fish National Aquatic Geramplasm Resources Protected Zone(Qiaolou Township to Sanguo Township river segment,Qingxi Town and upstream river segment),Sanguo Township to Le'an Temple Township river segment,Haoxi Hui Nationality Township to Le'an Temple Township river segment,Qifo Township to Malu Township river segment,Jianfeng Township river segment and other tributaries zones.(3)The ecological protection pattern of Qingzhu River protected area is built.Based on the distribution image of protected hotspot area and the existing protected areas distribution in the basin, the Qingzhu River ecological protection pattern is constructed including three first-level protection area nodes, two second-level protection area nodes and two other protection area nodes. At the same time, combining with the field research situation, each node is given targeted protection recommendations. The research will provide new ideas for the construction of river protection pattern. In addition,it can provide a scientific basis for making ecological protection planning and protection measures of Qingzhu River.
