Traveling Magnetic Field(TMF)generator is used for driven conductive medium,which is an important means of electromagnetic driving technology.It is mainly based on electromagnetic driving force which produced by electromagnetic coupling between TMF and conductive medium.The TMF is an air gap magnetic field which generated by the TMF generating device,and it is a kind of magnetic field configuration with sinusoidal distribution and traveling in space and time.In order to generate TMF,the device mostly uses three-phase alternating current drive three-phase overlapping winding to synthesize TMF,But the overlapping winding have difficult in winding and maintenance.Furthermore,two sides of the traditional TMF generator are disconnect,so there is the problem of discontinuity of the TMF generated at the interruption.To solve these problems,a new type of multi-phase TMF generator with extensible structure were proposed.Based on the theoretical study of TMF and its electromagnetic driving force,establish the driving model and design the multiphase TMF generator,and then make electromagnetic simulation.The principle prototype of multiphase traveling wave generator were realized,and two kinds of traveling wave self-continuation driving schemes were proposed.On this basis,the main work and innovations of this paper include:1.Based on the analysis of the basic concept of TMF,and basic theory of TMF generation,the physical models of solid and liquid conductive media driven by TMF were established,the electromagnetic field equations of solid and liquid conductive media driven by TMF were derived,the main influencing factors of electromagnetic driving force were given,and measures to improve the electromagnetic driving force were proposed.2.On the basis of theoretical analysis,a multi-phase TMF generating device with new extension structure were proposed.By giving the standard traveling wave definition of the TMF,the TMF waveform distribution which generated by the new multiphase TMF generating device was simulated and analyzed,The traveling wave waveform was analyzed in time domain and space domain.The optimal phase number of TMF produced by multiphase TMF generator under fixed magnetic distance was given.The influence of magnetic distance on the distribution of traveling wave waveform was analyzed.Finally,some optimization suggestions were given.3.On the basis of electromagnetic design and simulation,the principle prototype of the new TMF generator was realized.experiments of driving solid and liquid conductive media were designed,the relationship between the speed of copper sheet and magnetic induction intensity were give.The main factors affecting the electromagnetic driving force were analyzed and compared with the theoretical analysis in Chapter 2.Finally,the potential optimization space of the new multiphase TMF generator was given.4.We proposed traveling wave magnet self-driving design scheme.Designed two kinds of self-driving schemes with constant wave velocity based on time delay and constant wavelength based on phase delay.Each phase magnet was equipped with a delayer.The delayer can be cascaded arbitrarily so that the number of magnets can be increased arbitrarily.At the same time,the total power required for traveling wave phase self-driving to drive conductive medium was smaller than traditional multi-phase driver.Finally,the simulation was verified,and the simulation waveform were given.The feasibility of the scheme was verified in theory.Multiphase TMF generator successfully drive solid and liquid conductive media without contact.Experiments show that the main factors affecting electromagnetic driving force are magnetic field strength,driving power and conductivity of conductive medium.In the design of multiphase traveling wave generator,when the magnetic spacing of UF52 magnet is 10 mm,the traveling wave generated by four-phase traveling wave magnet was the smoothest.When the magnetic distance was fixed,the smoothness of waveform becomes worse with the increase of phase number.Secondly,when the frequency varies linearly from 1 kHz to 3 kHz,the maximum error of TMF speed was only 0.91%.The maximum error of TMF is only 3.33% when the frequency varies from 10 kHz to 40 kHz.Finally,It is expected that the design can also be applied to research scenarios such as contactless driven molten liquid and dynamic control of plasma distribution.
