In the warehouse, order picking is considered to be the most critical operation, and the efficiency of order picking often affects the efficiency of the entire warehouse. With the development of economic globalization and e-commerce,the orders received by warehouses every day have become more and more.If there is any problem with order picking, the overall efficiency of warehouse will be reduced, the operating costs will become higher.Even the impact on the entire supply chain, resulting in a decline in customer satisfaction. As an important factor affecting the efficiency of order picking, storage allocation has been the focus of many scholars. In the research of low-level manual picking warehouses, the picking time of vertical travel is ignored. However,in order to increase the capacity and make full use of the shelf space, the warehouses tend to increase the overall height of the shelves according to actual conditions by increasing the number of layer and reducing the height of each layer of the rack,or directly increasing the number of layer, which result in taking more time to take the goods of bottom or top of the rack;If you do not consider the picking time of the vertical travel, placing the best-selling goods on the bottom or top layer with a large picking time,it will have a greater impact on order picking efficiency. For the 2-block low-level manual picking warehouse with one cross-aisle,based on the classbased storage strategy, according to whether the picking time on each layer is equal or whether the gap can be neglected,it is divided into two cases: regardless of vertical travel and considering vertical travel.Firstly,an average picking time estimation model that does not consider vertical travel and an average picking time estimation model that considers vertical travel are constructed. On this basis,in order to determine the optimal storage space of the warehouse, with the minimum picking time as the objective function,a storage optimization algorithm that does not consider the vertical travel(determine the optimal storage boundary for each class of goods in each aisle, that is to determine the number of storage columns occupied by each class of goods in each aisle)and storage optimization algorithms that consider vertical travel(determine the optimal storage boundary for each class of goods on each layer of rack in each aisle, that is to determine the number of storage locations occupied by each class of goods in each aisle on each layer)are proposed. After that,in the various warehouse layouts(6 aisle,12 aisle,24 aisle layouts)and various picking quantities(4,12,24 and 48 goods)research warehouse storage optimization. Finally, get warehouse storage optimization conclusion: 1)When the picking time on each layer is equal or the gap is negligible,it is only necessary to determine the optimal storage area in the horizontal direction.2)When the picking time on each layer is not equal and the gap cannot be neglected, optimizing the storage position in both horizontal and vertical directions can save more picking time.3)Under different number of aisles and different picking quantities, warehouse storage layout and aisle storage layout will adopt different layout strategies.
