With surface mines and shallow mines becoming less and less,deep prospecting has become a hot spot in current mineral exploration.However,the traditional and two-dimensional geological data just has a little help for deep prospecting,so it is urgent to find a new method to solve such problems.Three-dimensional geological modeling is an effective method which can establish a three-dimensional spatial visualization model basing on two-dimensional geological information.It can achieve quantitative prediction of the deep part of the mining area so that it can greatly promote the development of deep mineral exploration.The porphyry copper deposit in Zhunuo is located in the west section of Gangdese.Forefathers have done a lot of research on it and achieved certain results.But they came to conclusions which mainly relied on two-dimensional geological information instead of three-dimensional visualization.According to the regional geology of the mining area and the geological characteristics of the deposit,this article uses the Micromine software to carry out three-dimensional geological modeling,and uses the prospecting-information contents to make quantitative predictions.It will provide technical support for further deep and edge prospecting in the mining area.In this study,we collect and compile a total of 82 borehole data.Then,we establish a borehole database of the Zhunuo mining area.Based on this,we create the surface model,ore body model,rock body model and alteration zone model of the mine area,which can visually show the characteristics and mutual relations of geological bodies.The geological models show that the ore body is form northeast to southwest.In the middle of it is larger and thick and at the edge of it is gradually thin and biforked.There are mainly monzonite porphyry,porphyry adamellite,quartz porphyry and a small amount of granite porphyry in the mining area.The ore body is mainly distributed in monzonite porphyry and porphyry adamellite.Alterations in the mining area are developed.It mainly has potassium silicate alterations and beresitization alteration.Potassium silicate alteration is mainly distributed at the bottom of the ore body.On the contrary,beresitization alteration is distributed at the top of the ore body.Both of them are conducive to the formation of mineralization.Based on geological model which we have established,we create block models of the mine.Then,we make a three-dimensional mineralization prediction on the basis of block models.In addition,we use prospecting-information contents to quantitatively predict in outer and deeper areas of this deposit.There are totally two predict target.One is in the southwest of the mining area and the other is in the deep of line 15.According to the subjective probability method,when the critical value of information is 2.6,the probability of prospecting is calculated to be 66.1%.After engineering verification,we find the prediction effect is good.It will provide a solid theoretical basis for the subsequent exploration work.
