With China’s rapid economic development, the demand for mineral resources has become higher and higher. After years of exploration in many exploitable mineral resource, mining resource is on the brink of exhaustion, which become a "crisis mine". For example, the copper mine of Tonglvshan mountain in Daye, Hubei Province, has been over-explored greatly after years of mining and the mineral resource is becoming very less and less. In order to alleviate the situation of lack of mineral resources, more and more new methods and new technology is applied to deep prospecting.3D geological modeling, as one of these new methods and new technology, is playing a very important role in metallogenic prediction.Three-dimensional geological modeling algorithm is studied firstly in this thesis, and mainly focus on the generalized triangular prism modeling algorithm (GTP), then the ore body three-dimensional geological modeling algorithm, such as perimeter projection method, simple polygon triangulation method, are studied. After the well studying, the3D stratum model in mining area, the geological body model, the ore body model has been established by the application of three-dimensional geological modeling and visualization software Micromine. Finally, the reserves of the ore body has been calculated by the Kriging interpolation algorithm, to verify the validity of the geological model in this thesis. After the establishing of3D geological model, the metallogenic prediction on blind ore bodies is done, which utilizes the metallogenic model in the study area. The ore-controlling factors.(1) sodium-rich acid rock in the phase of Yanshanian;(2) the deep fault-developed belt in the transitional zone between the uplift and depression areas;(3) the layer of carbonate rocks containing, which is mainly the Daye limestone of Lower Triassic Series;(4) the structures for ore housing, which is mainly the rock contact zone and fracture between layers, combine with geological structure, mineralization and alteration, are studied to give initial prospecting signs.
