This study will carry out case teaching design research in the course of "Environmental Microbiology",which belongs to the major of environmental governance technology at Nanjing E Secondary Vocational School.The results are as follows:(1)Using literature method,questionnaire method and interview method,this study found that there were still many problems in the application of case teaching in the course of "Environmental Microbiology",such as insufficient teacher case teaching ability,low case quality,improper situation setting and unreasonable teaching procedures.(2)This study optimized the strategy of the teaching case in the course fo "Environmental Microbiology".There were 3-steps design strategy,for example,the case design principles,case design steps,and case design formats and requirements.Among them,there were three stages in the case design which were case material collection,case drafting and case modification and improvement.(3)Taking "microbial treatment of solid waste" as an example,there were three stages in the method of the case teaching,such as pre-class preparation stage,classroom implementation stage and post-class reflection stage,which were improved in the course of "Environmental Microbiology".After that,the case teaching design was finished by taking-"Microbial Treatment of Solid Waste" as an example.The specific process is as follows:Firstly,the contents of the preparation work for teachers and students were clarified,and the case summary report table and the order of desks and chairs for case teaching were designed at the stage of the pre-class preparation;Secondly,two teaching cases,"Current state of solid waste treatment in China" and "Kawasaki Hiroto : ‘Compost warriors wooted in rural China ’",were designed,and the teaching process was simulated according to the five steps of case presentation,case interpretation,case problem,case discussion and case summary at the stage of classroom implementation;Thirdly,the two-way feedback of teachers and students was used to evaluate the effect of case teaching at the stage of post-class reflection.To sum up,this study,which taked Nanjing E Secondary Vocational School as an example,optimized the design strategy and design steps of teaching case in the course of "Environmental Microbiology",improved the implementation process,and then finished thedesign of two teaching cases,Therefore,this study will provide theoretical basis and case materials for the promotion and application of case teaching method in Secondary vocational schools,and provide important teaching methods for cultivating outstanding environmental protection professionals with solid knowledge and practical ability.
