With the progress of exploration technique and the flourish of global oil and gas field exploration,oil companies at domestic and abroad increase seismic exploration and carry out high-density and high-precision seismic exploration in previous prospecting areas at present,as well as expand seismic exploration in unexplored areas.The amount of seismic exploration data is growing in this situation.So for efficiently managing seismic exploration data it is necessary to seek a method that can use these data to serve seismic exploration.GIS integrates database techniques,which can apply these data to support seismic exploration productionFrom a perspective of multidisciplinary application,this thesis expounds theories and key application flow about the application of GIS in the seismic exploration production Through research there are following main achievements:seismic exploration data management research,which demonstrates the method to build seismic exploration database and share database;the research on seismic exploration programming,seismic lines preplanning and geometry designing;the research on the application of GIS in seismic exploration production organization and mapping;the research on seismic exploration data 3D analysis.By studying practical application of GIS in 2D and 3D seismic exploration projects,the thesis expounds the feasibility of application of GIS in seismic exploration production.Based on data provided by the exploration database,GIS can play an important role in seismic exploration,effectively enhancing production efficiency and improving production quality.
