Evaluation And Development Of Tourism Resources In Shache County,Xinjiang Province

Against the background of the national strategy “Belt and Road”,tourism,as one of the important links connecting countries and cities along the route,can effectively promote the protection and inheritance of the ecological environment and historical and cultural resources while driving economic growth and strengthening interregional exchanges and cooperation.The tourism of the countries and cities along the route will be provided with an important development opportunity,amount which,there is a city called Shache County.As an important hub city along the ancient Silk Road,Shache County has a huge potential for tourism development with its rich natural and cultural resources,solid industrial foundation and favorable development conditions.However,the current tourism development of Shache County has been facing difficulties such as insufficient development efforts,single product structure,insufficient industrial added value,etc.How to make real values out of these resources and transform the development advantage into economic advantage,is an urgent problem to be solved for this county’s tourism development.In order to more scientifically and reasonably exploit the existing tourism resources in Shache County,and to clarify the future development direction of Shache County’s tourism industry,a targeted comprehensive evaluation system of tourism resources was established to successfully make an accurate evaluation of tourism resources in the County,followed by an analysis of the quality structure and development sequence.In the part of development conditions,a detailed analysis was conducted on several factors,including the location and transportation,the socio-economic environment,the government policies,the current status of tourism development and the tourist market.In this process,several scientific approaches were conducted,such as literature analysis method,field survey method,Delphi method,analytic hierarchy process,etc.Also,for the complicated topographic features and the huge area the County covers,the overall spatial distribution oftourism resources and the transportation network in Shache County were studied with the help of geographic information technology and approaches like nearest neighbor analysis,kernel density estimation,connectivity analysis,accessibility analysis,etc.Based on the above research,countermeasures and suggestions are proposed on spatial layout,market development,marketing strategy,product development,which would offer some potential ideas and directions for the development of Shache County’s tourism industry.
