| According to the report to the 19 th national congress of the communist party of China(CPC),China’s economy has shifted from a stage of rapid growth to a stage of high-quality development,and is now in the crucial period of transforming the growth model,optimizing the economic structure and transforming the growth drivers.The key to the transformation of growth momentum is to further improve total factor productivity.As an important part of total factor productivity,technical efficiency has become a new driving force to promote economic transformation and sustainable development.As an important booster and growth point of economic development,logistics industry will undoubtedly affect the change of technical efficiency in the development of national economy.However,most of the related researches focus on the influence of logistics industry on the technical efficiency of other industries,and few research on the overall impact of logistics development level on regional economic and technological efficiency.Therefore,this article intends to carry on the tentative discussion to this.The main purpose of this paper is to explore the overall impact of the development level of regional logistics on the technical efficiency of regional economy,including the following five aspects.First,the research results on the relationship between logistics industry and technical efficiency at home and abroad are reviewed.The second is to discuss the main mechanism that logistics industry affects technical efficiency.Third,based on the panel data of 31 provinces in mainland China from 2006 to 2017,the development level of logistics industry in each province was calculated by using the time-series global principal component analysis.Fourth,the influence of provincial logistics development level on provincial technical efficiency is empirically analyzed by stochastic frontier analysis.Fifth,put forward some countermeasures and Suggestions to improve technical efficiency.The main research conclusions of this paper are as follows :(1)the logistics industry can affect the pure technical efficiency,scale efficiency or resource allocation efficiency by optimizing the industrial structure,reducing the economic cost and improving the foreign trade,thus affecting the technical efficiency of the national economy.(2)there is a widespread phenomenon of technical inefficiency in the economic development of Chinese provinces,and there are obvious regional differences,that is,the lowest in the central and western regions,the highest in the eastern regions,but generally speaking,it is on the rise.(3)there is a significant "inverted u-shaped" relationship between the development level of logistics industry and the change of technical efficiency,which is currently on the rise.(4)the influence of logistics industry on technical efficiency is significantly different in time and space,among which,the eastern region is larger than the central and western regions,and the period before 2013 is larger than that after 2013.(5)urbanization,opening to the outside world,innovation and informatization have a significant positive effect on technological efficiency,while industrial structure has an inhibitory effect on technological efficiency,but it is not obvious.Therefore,from the logistics industry development perspective,at least from the following aspects to improve regional technical efficiency.That is,reduce logistics costs,improve the competitiveness of enterprises;Make up the shortage of logistics infrastructure and expand the supply of high-quality logistics services;Actively participate in foreign trade,promote the internationalization of logistics;Narrow the development difference of logistics industry and promote regional coordinated development;Suggestions on strengthening informatization construction of logistics industry and improving informatization level. |
