The microstructures and properties of the 1-3mm thick copper strips produced by horizontal continuous casting is always unstable caused by its small deformation. The products with the better properties produced by improving the processing technology which has been the research hotspot currently. In this paper, the industrial copper billets was cold rolled and annealed in the laboratory combined with the actual production. The evolution of the microstructures and properties of the copper strips was studied by metallographic microscope, micro hardness tester and XRD.Some experiment results are obtained in practical production. The experimental results are as following:1)The original copper billet microstructure(10mm grains and 3mm grains)effects on its microstructure and properties after cold rolling and annealing were studied. The results showed that the original billets with 3 mm grains are more likely to get a relatively uniform grain structure compared to the ones with the 10mm grains when the sample was cold rolled to 2.5mm under the condition of annealing at 400?for 6h.2)The original billets with fine grains was used to be cold rolled. The optimal annealing scheme was determined through comparing the microstructure and properties of the products under different annealing scheme. The result showed that the uniform grains samples cannot obtained by using 5.2mm or 3.5mm cold rolled copper for annealing;the optimal annealing scheme is that annealing at 500? for 3h in a flowing nitrogen and its average gain size and hardness are about 0.023mm 46.4HV(100g/15s)after annealing,respectively.3)The evolution of the copper strips texture during the process of cold rolling and annealing and the influence of(420)texture on the bending properties were studied. The results showed that the texture coefficient of(220)crystal face increases with the increasing of deformation during the process of cold rolling which showing a strong orientation;on the contrary, the texture coefficient of(420)crystal face decrease, and that of the(111)and(222)crystal surface is almost unchanged;the significantly increased after the recrystallization annealing, and the larger of the deformation, the more increased. After annealed at 500?,The growth of the texture coefficient of(420)crystal face of three thickness samples are 24.7%,74.0%,59.0%,and the bending times are also improved by 6 times,8 times and 11 times, respectively. The texture coefficient of(420)crystal face will increase within a certain range of increase annealing temperature, which increasing the bending properties. In a word, the more uniform of the grain structure and the higher of the texture coefficient on(420)crystal face, the better bending properties of the copper strips get.
