Every year the metal corrosion caused economic losses to the country is very large.So the method of preventing metal corrosion is being born,And the researching of VCI packaging materials shows the great application prospect.Because of the corrosion inhibitor of the VCI materials can gasify slowly at room temperature.In the form of molecules or ions adsorpted on the surface of the metal.To block the harmful gases such as oxygen,carbon dioxide,sulfur dioxide,hydrogen sulfide,water vapor and other corrosion medium in contact with the metal surface,so as to achieve the purpose of rust prevention.So the VCI packaging material properties has a great significance on the study of metal rust.The VCI film that be used in topic research is one of the most widely used rustproof packaging material.There are three kinds of VCI film in the topic research,containing the VCI.52M film(Suitable for multi-metal,without nitrite),VCI.41M film(Suitable for steel,containing nitrite),VCI.43M film(Suitable for multi-metal,containing nitrite).The VCI film can paly antirust effect was mainly attributed to theVCI in it.Different volatile corrosion inhibitor play different antirust function.The three kinds of VCI film compositions in the topic research are still nuclear.If you want to study the VCI film's antirust performance,you must determine the composition in the VCI film firstly.Then there can be further research and analysis.In the research process,firstly determine the material structure,functional group,the types of elements and proportion of corrosion inhibitor in the VCI film by FTIR test,Raman test,XPS electron spectrum test.Finally,through determine the melting temperature of VCI by DSC test,then this can determine the composition in the VCI film.Through the above test,the analysis is that the VCI.52M film contains the VCI for CO(NH2)2 and C10H80,the VCI.41M film contains the VCI for C9H11NO3and NaN02,the VCI.43M film contains the VCI for NaNO2,CO(NH2)2 and C10H8O.Three kinds of film matrix resin is LDPE.Then through the 30 days cycle test to evaluate the VCI film rust resistance.The evaluation results show that the VCI.43M film's rust prevention is the best,the second is the VCI.41M film,the VCI.52M film is the worst.It explains that the VCI film containing nitrite rust resistance is better than VCI film without nitrite.The VCI film used for multi-metal rust prevention is superior to the VCI film used for steel metal.Through the surface microstructure test indicates that three kinds of VCI film have poor compatibility with resin matrix.Then through the scanning electron microscope(SEM)analysis that the strength of compatibility is in turn VCI.43M>VCI.41M>VCI.52M.The better the compatibility,the better VCI film rust resistance.The oxygen permeability and water vapor permeability test showed that barrier properties of VCI.43M film is the best,the second is VCI.41M film,the VCI.52M film is the worst.The better the barrier performance,harmful gases and water vapor into the film in the lower level of metal corrosion,the better VCI film rust resistance.
