The Research Of Structure Of Guangfu Female Clothing

Garment of Guangfu region follows culture of ancient Nanyue Dynasty but also compounds cultures of Chinese Central Plains and Western Colonial.It plays an important role in Chinese clothing due to its special character of era and region.This essay mainly focuses on discussing Guangfu female clothing,a kind of Garment of Guangfu appeared during the period of late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.Through researching the structure and elements of physical Guangfu female clothing,various theses and materials as well,the essay tends to classify,organize,analyze and summarize the specialty of female apparels in this period: Firstly,it thematically learns the exterior and cutting of Guangfu female tops.I measured coat,short gowns,blouse and Mandarin gown and used relevant computer software to draw the plane of them with the figures I got,then made the parallel comparison among their collars,length of slits,and sleeves and plackets.Referring the historical development,I could see the change of the clothing that it was given more complex structure gradually yet less decoration.Next,I have understood the essential feature of the clothing and the unique charm of its structure during the process of researching with methods of classification,organization and summarization.It has also been exposed the fact that during the most turbulent time of Chinese society,Guangfu female clothing had changed its style from traditional to modern,which could be a cultural heritage of clothing industry.Last,after doing this research,I produced a piece of art work as my graduation project with inheritance and reference towards the tradition.In this project modern Ribbon Embroidery Decoration was used,revealing the elegance of traditional Guangfu female clothing in a present way of design.
