Polyamides[PA]have been widely applicated in The chemical industry, because of their relatively high modulus toughness and strength, low creep and good temperature resistance.Polysulfonamides[PAs]because its contain sulfonamide group, this is a kind of good functional group,so widely used.In the early 1970s,the Poly(amide-sulfonamide)s[PASAs]were first synthesizedby by using interfacial polymerization technique, but its application have not been extensively studied. In the 1990s,since a series of PASAs were designed and synthesized, people beganing to focus on the scope of application of the PASAs.Because of PASAs contain amide group and sulfonamide group in the main chain, have high strength, good elasticity, good mechanical properties and thermal performance,in acid and alkaline conditions good chemical stability. In additional, the thin film of these polymers can be applied to reverse osmosis, pervaporation and nanoscale color imaging by using the color forming reactions of an Ehrlich reagent with the aniline groups.Wholly aromatic poly(amide-sulfonamide)s[PASAs]of high molecular weight synthesized by low-temperature solution polycondensation of m-chlorosulfonylbenzoyl chlorides with aromatic diamines in tetramethy lene sulfone and 2-Picoline as the acid acceptor.1,The structure of m-chlorosulfonyl benzoyl chloride were unambiguously confirmed by Fourier Transform Infrared[FT-IR]and 1H-MNR.2,The structure of PASAs were unambiguously confirmed by Fourier Transform Infiared[FT-IR]and 1H-MNR.3,The PASAs having inherent viscosity as high as 0.64dL·g-1,0.52dL·g-1 and 0.28dL·g-1.4,All of the wholly aromatic PAS As are dissolved in a wide range of acidic and basic solvents.5,The aromatic polysulfonamides had glass transition temperatures of 1150?,90? and 85?under Differential Scanning Calorimeter[DSC]in a nitrogen atmospherewas, were further evaluated by thermogravimetric analysis[TGA]and began to decompose in 415?,395? and 400?.6,All of the wholly aromatic are unambiguously confirmed by X-ray diffraction[XRD]and they are crystal but the degree of crystallinity is not high.
