Rubber composite has a pivotal position in the field of material science.Therefore,ways to improve the performance of rubber composite material have become a hot topic,especially in the field of applications in military industry products.However,there is little attention paid to the mechanical properties of the rubber composite,and there is also a lack of the certain theoretical guidance.Textile materials,glass fiber and steel wire are the mainly materials for the framework of rubber products.Among these materials,the aramid fiber has relatively high strength,high modulus,high toughness,high thermal stability and high chemical stability.Thus it is the preferred frame material to manufacture tires,high-strength hose or conveyor belt.In this study,The preparation of high-performance rubber composite materials is demonstrated by using nitrile rubber and aramid fiber,selecting various experimental program and processing technology.Vulcanizing apparatus and open mill are used in the processing operation.The proformance of the rubber and composite materials are characterized by micro-control electronic universal testing machine,vulcanizing machine and thermogravimetric analyzer(TGA).The main material of the military boots is natural rubber which is combined by a layer of polyester fiber.In this research,the key performance indicators of the sole,i.e.the wear resistance,oil resistance and puncture resistance are studied.Using rubber of different types as the main material,combined with different reinforced material-aramid fiber,the samples of rubber composites are prepared.As a result,according to the properties of rubber such as tensile strength,elongation at failure,Akron abrasion and DIN abrasion performance,nitrile rubber has better performance the neoprene nitrile rubber.In the case of certain process and curing system,by adding various carbon black of different grades from different manufacturers,a conclusion can be drawn that the rubber composited with carbon black N110 has the best physical properties.As taking into account the oil resistance,heat resistance and other physical properties of rubber products,emi-effective vulcanization system is the best rubber process program among different vulcanization system to prepare rubber products.By comparing the nitrile rubber composites with Kevlar aramid fiber of different specifications,composite with 400 g specifications of the aramid fiber exhibit the best anti-puncture performance.In conclusion,by means of semi-effective vulcanization system,high-performance rubber composite materials prepared with NBR 6 280,N110 carbon black,and 400 g aramid fiberhas the best performance.
