Recently,with the development of society and economy,everyone needs not only to ensure the quality of the work of the workpiece and to ensure that the processing process is green and pollution-free.With the development of WEDM technology,people gradually find different processing media and process parameters,and the quality of workpiece is also different,such as surface roughness,straightness,electrolytic corrosion,machining efficiency and so on.Dry WEDM technology is able to meet these requirements,in the same process parameters through the air in WEDM technology to obtain the surface quality of the workpiece processing than in liquid medium for the surface quality of the workpiece;and WEDM in gas is a kind of green processing method,it is the medium of the atmosphere so,this method in the processing of no harmful gas,does not produce harmful substances,is a processing method without environmental pollution.The mechanism of discharge in the electrode,the mechanism of material erosion and the microstructure of the workpiece are different from the liquid medium.Therefore,it is necessary to further study the technology of WEDM in gas.This text carries on the analysis to the WEDM in mechanism,set up the physical model,the moving heat source in gas discharge heat transfer mathematical model,the provisions of the imposed initial and boundary conditions in the temperature field,and deduces the heat conduction equation of the moving heat source model.Using ANSYS finite element software,establish finite element model with the workpiece according to the actual shape,in the application of heat flow density and binding simulation analysis,simulation of air movement process of Cr12 Mo V surface heat conduction heat source in the discharge process of development and the changes of temperature field.According to the distribution of the simulation area,the single etch pit model is ellipsoid based on the distribution of the simulation area.On the basis of the actual machining process,a single etch pit model was corrected,and the volume of a single etch pit and the white layer were measured.The edge protruding is calculated.During the actual machining process,there are lots of electric pitting on the workpiece surface and overlap each other.In this paper,a suitable overlap method is selected to solve the volume of the whole workpiece surface and solve it.The influence of the peak current and pulse width on the geometry of the corrosion pit on the surface of the workpiece is analyzed.Finally,a single factor experiment is conducted to study the effect of process parameters on the surface quality and the amount of erosion.The actual effect is compared with the influence of the simulation calculation to verify the rationality of the simulation modeling.
