Cancer with high morbidity and mortality has become one of the global concern for health problem The photothermal therapy(PTT),has been a research hotspot in the forefront of medical science and materials science due to its unique advantages such as remote controllability,Low side effects and low systemic toxicity compared with traditional therapy techniques.Based on this, the content is divided into the following three parts:(1)First of all,we briefly introduced the cancer and cancer treatment at this stage. After that we have outlined the application of organic conductive macro molecules and gold nanoparticles in the field of photothermal therapy. Finally, the significance and research ideas of this article are put forward.(2)One kind of water-soluble poly(N-phenylglycine)-cyclodextrin nanoparticles(PNPG-CD NPs)was synthesized as a nanoplatform for photothermal therapy(PTT).And the structural properties were characterized by FT-IR,UV-Vis-NIR,TGA and 1H NMR etc.The results of dynamic light scattering(DLS)demonstrated that PNPG-CD NPs are well-dispersed in aqueous solutions, and with average hydrodynamic diameter around 108 nm.The experimental results show PNPG-CD NPs has a pH sensitive. The maximum absorption peak of UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy is redshift from 625 nm to around 900 nm And it is efficiently converts light into heat under 808 nm 1 W cm-2.The temperature of the aqueous solution PNPG-CD NPs increased around 34 ?.In vitro cell experiment,PNPG-CD NPs shown negligible cytotoxicity, revealed that can kill both B16 and Hela cells via exposure to a NIR 808 nm laser. The above results show that PNPG-CD NPs has the potential to be used as a photothermal therapeutic agent for biological applications.(3)We present a new method for the fabrication of a water-soluble hyaluronic acid modified Au nanoparticles(HA-Cys-Au NPs)as a nanoplatform for photothermal therapy. And the structural properties were characterized by TEM,UV-Vis-NIR,DLS and 1 H NMR etc.The results show that the average hydrodynamic diameter around 143 nm.The maximum absorption peak of UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy is redshift from 526 nm to around 650 nm,indicating that the gold nanoparticles from the previous monodisperse form into the form of aggregates. The tenperature of the aqueous solution HA-Cys-Au NPs increased around 29 ? upon exposure 650 nm 1 W cm-2 laser for 10 min.In vitro cell experiment,HA-Cys-Au NPs shown negligible cytotoxicity, revealed that can selectively kill CD44-mediated cancer cells rather than normal cells via exposure to a NIR 650 nm 1 W cm-2 laser. In summary,HA-Cys-Au NPs have the ability to be used as a novel photothermal therapy agent for tumor photothermal therapy.
