In this article,cardanol was taken to prepare the hydrogenated cardanol polyoxyethylene ether based cationic surfactants.And then,the products were applied for sterilization and scale inhibition,based on their characteristics of cationic surfactant.Firstly,taking cardanol as raw material,by addition reaction of ethylene oxide,cardanol polyoxyethylene ether was synthesized,which ethylene oxide adduct numbers are 12and 25 severally,at 135~140 ℃,under 2×105~3×105 Pa.Then,Catalytic hydrogenation was carried out on the products above,with the help of aluminum nickel alloy as catalyst.The amout of Catalyst and the influence of reation time on Hydrogenation rate was investigated,and optimal synthesis conditions were confirmed.The products were characterized by FT-IRand 1H-NMR.Secondly,the products above reacted with the sodium at 90 ℃ in the oil bath,in which CD-12 Na,and CD-25 Na were obtained respectively.In this step,the effects of the proportion of raw materials and sodium,the influence of reaction temperature on productivity were investigated.Optimal synthesis conditions were confirmed.Thirdly,the products above reacted with cycocel for several hours and QC-12 and QC-25 were made with the method of column separation.In this step,the effects of the proportion of raw materials and sodium,the influence of reaction temperature on productivity were investigated.Optimal synthesis conditions were confirmed.By associating with FT-IR,1H-NMR and qualitative analysis with bromophenol blue,the result showed the synthetic products were the target products;Fourthly,the HLB value,critical micelle concentration and the softening point of QC-12 and QC-25 were determined.Tthe bactericidal properties of QC-6,QC-25 and QC,QC-12 and QC-16,which were the previous synthesis compound,were compared.The results show QC-12 was the best.Finally,reverse osmosis membrane scale inhibitor DF-12 was made up from corrosion inhibitor RX-1 and QC-12.The scale inhibition performance of DF-12 are tested in workshop in factory.In contrast to the results of Original scale inhibitor and the import scale inhibitor,DF-12 had better sterilization and scale inhibition performance.
