Although lead and zinc are the advantage source of our nation,the lead and zinc store source of our nation,with our nation demands for this source increasing,are difficult to meet the needs of modernization construction.In addition,there are three features on the lead and zinc source of our state as follows:the first is wide distribution,but relatively centralized;the secondly,a lot of low grade ores,relatively few high grade ores;thirdly,the deposit contains a variety of elements with comprehensive utilization value.The above reasons promote the development of flotation,in order to meet the demands for lead and zinc resources and achieve the comprehensive utilization of resources.This paper presents results of a laboratory study designed to look into the effect of classification floatation of Changba lead-zinc ore contrasted with conventional flotation.The experimental results suggest that through classification flotation,the recovery of lead and zinc can be improved.The research of Changba lead-zinc ore process mineralogy gave the following results:the elements of the ore,which can be recovered by mineral processing,are lead 1.26%and zinc 7.66%.The major valuable minerals are sphalerite,smithsonite,galena and cerussite,and the major gangue minerals are pyrite,calcite and quartz.Target minerals are closely and complexly associated with gangue minerals,which leads to difficulty of completely liberating valuable minerals from gangue.Sphalerite belongs to middling fine dissemination,and the range of dissemination is 0.5?0.002mm.Galena belongs to fine dissemination,and the range of dissemination is 0.2?0.002mm.Pyrite belongs to middling fine dissemination,and the range of dissemination is 0.4?0.002mm.Based on the above research,the without classification and classification flotation experiments were carried out.The results of the non-classification flotation of the Changba lead-zinc ore are as follows:the grinding fineness is-0.074mm 90%,the dosage of calcium oxide 7000g/t,the dosage of zinc sulfate 600g/t,the dosage of sodium sulfite 600g/t,the dosage of ethyl xanthate 250g/t,the dosage of turpentine 33.84g/t,and the floatation time of lead roughing 5 minutes.After being processed by flowsheet of single-stage roughing and single-stage scavenging,the tailing is fed into zinc flotation,the agent regulation of zinc flotation is 100g/t of copper sulfate,80g/t of butyl xanthate and 11.28g/t of butyl xanthate,and the floatation time of zinc roughing 5 minutes.The flowsheet of single-stage roughing and single-stage scavenging gives the final tailing.The test in laboratory gives lead rough concentrate with grade 23.00%,recovery 79.50%,and zinc rough concentrate with grade 47.38%,recovery 87.47%.The classification floatation experiments were carried out with the same fineness as that of non-classification.The material is divided into-0.074mm+0.038mm and-0.038mm.The results flotation of-0.074mm+0.038mm ore are following:the dosage of calcium oxide 5000g/t,the dosage of zinc sulfate 600g/t,the dosage of sodium sulfite 600g/t,the dosage of ethyl xanthate 200g/t,the dosage of turpentine 33.84g/t,and the floatation time of lead roughing 5 minutes;through flowsheet of single-stage roughing and single-stage scavenging,the tailing is given into zinc flotation;it is the agent regulation of zinc flotation that 100g/t of copper sulfate,80g/t of butyl xanthate and 11.28g/t of butyl xanthate,and the floatation time of zinc roughing 5 minutes;through flowsheet of single-stage roughing and single-stage scavenging,the final tailing is produced.The performances of test in laboratory are lead rough concentrate grade 27.28%with recovery 85.16%,zinc rough concentrate grade 45.12%with recovery 82.97%.The results flotation of-0.038mm ore are as follows:the pulp density 23.26%,the dosage of calcium oxide 7000g/t,the dosage of zinc sulfate 800g/t,the dosage of sodium sulfite 400g/t,the dosage of ethyl xanthate 250g/t,the dosage of turpentine 33.84g/t,and the floatation time of lead roughing 5 minutes;through flowsheet of single-stage roughing and single-stage scavenging,the tailing is fed into zinc flotation;it is the agent regulation of zinc flotation that the 100g/t dosage of copper sulfate,80g/t of butyl xanthate and 11.28g/t of butyl xanthate,and the floatation time of zinc roughing 5 minutes;through flowsheet of single-stage roughing and single-stage scavenging,the final tailing is produced;The test in laboratory gives lead rough concentrate with grade 21.47%,recovery 78.45%,and zinc rough concentrate with grade 43.46%,recovery 84.89%.By utilizing classification flotation,the recovery of lead is 83.03%increased by 2.03%,compared with non-classification flotation;the recovery of zinc is 89.97%increased by 1.11%compared with non-classification flotation.In this thesis,the products of the classification flotation and non-classification flotation were analyzed by SEM.By studying the interaction of coarse grain,fine mineral and bubble in fluid dynamics,the influence of fine minerals in flotation was discussed in this paper.The results of this study have a certain significance in achieving high separation efficiency and weaking the influence of fine particles on the coarse grains for the Changba lead-zinc mine.
