With the development of semiconductor industry,silicon carbide(SiC)single crystal material has been widely used in aerospace,crude oil exploration and other important fields because of its wide band gap,high thermal conductivity and good chemical stability.Thus,higher requirements have been put forward for the production of sic substrate.Electroplated diamond wire saw is widely used in si and other crystal slicing because of its narrow cutting seam,good slice quality and clean cutting environment.But the wire saw life is short and the efficiency is low in sic and other super hard crystal materials.Electrodeposition technology has been applied to the fabrication of diamond wire saw because of its simple technology,small environmental pollution and high bonding strength between the deposition layer and the substrate.The diamond wire saw has a broad application prospect in the field of ultra hard crystal slice processing.In this paper,the technology of electrospark deposition of diamond wire saw and its equipment were studied in this paper.By analyzing the characteristics of the hard alloy,the formulation of the compressing powder electrode was put forward,and the influence of various electrical parameters on the wire saw in the process of electrodeposition deposition was studied by orthogonal experiment.The feasibility of the developed device is verified.The main research work of this paper is summarized as follows:(1)The design scheme of electrodeposition diamond wire saw production device was determined.By analyzing the basic principle of electrodeposition technology and combining with the diamond wire saw making technology,the electrospark deposition of the rotating electrode in the air medium is determined.Four rotating electrodes are used to deposit the edges respectively and the four sides of the wire saw are sequentially deposited;the matrix is arranged in a transverse arrangement scheme.In parallel,the production efficiency is improved and the efficiency of the diamond wire saw is increased by the electric spark deposition.The electrospark deposition process controls the switching,rotation and feed of the working electrode by the single chip microcomputer.The single-chip microcomputer receives the discharge signals between the electrode and the substrate,and determines the discharge state between the electrodes and the electrode and adjusts the distance between the electrode and the matrix.(2)According to the design plan of the electrodeposition diamond wire saw production device,the electrodeposition diamond wire saw production device was developed.Using the aluminum alloy frame,the 221 groups of electrodes are installed on the frame,and the rotating motor drives the synchronous pulley to rotate the electrode at a constant speed,and the stepping motor and ball screw drive electrode group frame are used to move the rolling guide rail to realize the switching of the working electrode and the adjustment of the distance between the electrode and the matrix.Arduino mega 2560 is selected as the controller,and the discharge state is detected by the average voltage between the electrode and the substrate.The discharge state of the electrode is kept in spark discharge by adjusting the distance between the electrode and the substrate by the detected discharge state.(3)The materials used in the electrode and the manufacturing process have been determined.Through the study and analysis of the materials used in the electrode and the fabrication process,the hard and bond phases of the carbide and cobalt are determined to be used as the consolidated diamond abrasive particles respectively,and the proportion of the composite is 7:3.on this basis,the diamond micro powder is added and the electrode press is carried out by the hydraulic press.Through the experiment,the content of diamond abrasive particles and the pressure of the electrode are explored.It is found that the deposition effect of the electrode is more stable when the volume of the diamond powder is 20%of the total volume of the mixed powder and the pressing pressure is 270mpa.(4)The effect of discharge parameters on wire saw production efficiency,tensile strength and sawing life was studied during electrospark deposition of diamond wire saw.Based on the factors of deposition time,discharge voltage,pulse duty cycle and discharge frequency,9 sets of wire saw were made by orthogonal experiment with four factors and three levels.By calculating the deposition rate,tensile test and cutting experiment,the production efficiency,tensile strength and wire saw life were evaluated,and the best process parameters in the study range were determined.The diamond wire saw was used to cut the glass by the electric spark deposition.The cutting surface roughness was 2.4 m.and the surface of the wire saw on the wire saw was worn,but there was no obvious falling off.The cross section of diamond wire saw was analyzed by the energy spectrum.The elements in which the deposition layer and the matrix were combined without mutation showed that the combination mode of the deposition layer and the matrix was metallurgical bonding.
