The coordination compounds have been attracted the attention of more and more researchers due to their excellent physical and chemical properties.In recent years,coordination compounds have shown unique applications in the optical,magnetism,information processing,gas adsorption and catalytic fields.In this paper,four compounds are synthesized by the reaction of 2,2':6',2"-terpyridine ligand with CuCl2,CdCl2 or Tb?NO3?3.The thesis is aimed for synthesizing compounds which possess magnetism,fluorescence sensing and electrochemical sensing.The detection of metal cations,anions and phenols of a certain compound and their recognition mechanisms were explored.The article is divided into the following five chapters:Chapter 1:The research background and the concepts of metal compounds,2,2':6',2"-terpyridine,fluorescence sensors and electrochemical sensors were briefly summarized.Reviews on the research progress of the detection and identification of compound in metal cations,anions and phenolic substances were also depicted.Chapter 2:The copper compound based on 4?-?4-hydroxybenzene?-2,2':6',2"-terpyridine?p-HO-ptpy?ligand and CuCl2 was synthesized by solvothermal method.The fluorescence properties of Cu?p-HO-ptpy?Cl2 were studied,the result showed that it could be utilized as a luminescent sensor to detect anions(CrO42-and MnO4-).At the same time,Cu?p-HO-ptpy?Cl2/GCE modified glassy carbon electrode was prepared by drop-coating method.The electrochemical performance of Cu?p-HO-ptpy?Cl2/GCE for catechol?CC?and hydroquinone?HQ?were investigated.Chapter 3:A novel tetranuclear copper compound[Cu4?Bpetpy?2Cl6]·[CuCl2]2?Cu-Bpetpy?was constructed by solvothermal method using CuCl2 and 4?-?4-??4-[2,2?:6?,2??-terpyridin]-4?-yl?benzyl?oxy?phenyl)ether-2,2?:6?,2??-terpyridine?Bpetpy?.The electrochemical properties of compound Cu-Bpetpy were studied and the Cu-Bpetpy/GCE modified electrode was prepared.The electrochemical performance of the modified electrodes for catechol?CC?and hydroquinone?HQ?were investigated.The experimental conditions were optimized and the mechanism was explored briefly.In addition,the magnetic properties of compound Cu-Bpetpy were studied.Chapter 4:A binuclear cadmium compound[Cd2BpetpyCl4]?Cd-Bpetpy?was synthesized by the solvothermal method using CdCl2 and 4?-?4-??4-[2,2?:6?,2??-terpyridin]-4?-yl?benzyl?oxy?-phenyl)ether-2,2?:6?,2??-terpyridine?Bpetpy?ligand.The Cd-Bpetpy/GCE electrode was prepared and the catechol?CC?and hydroquinone?HQ?were quantitatively determined by DPV method.The mechanism of the modified electrode on CC and HQ were also deduced by measuring different scanning rates.In addition,compound Cd-Bpetpy was also studied for detection of metal cations(Fe3+)and anions(Cr2O72-).Chapter 5:By employing a rational approach,a new ligand 4?-[p-{1,5-bis?acetic acid?-3-azapentan-3-ylmethyl}phenyl]-2,2?:6?,2??-terpyridine?H4natpy?was designed and synthesized.The Tb compound H4natpy-Tb3+was synthesized by refluxing reaction with Tb?NO3?3.H4natpy-Tb3+as a fluorescent sensor material,through“turn-on”or“turn-off”way shows highly sensitive and selectivity to detect of metal cations.
