The array sensing technique has shown numerous advantages, such as accuracy, diversity and capacities in the simultaneous detection and discrimination of chemically structures or properties similar analytes, thus receiving much attention and broad applications in recent years.Fluorescent carbon dots(CDs)are attracting much attention in sensing recently thanks to their superior optical properties and abundant surface functional groups. To take further advantages of these unique features,CDs are considered to be possible for facilely fabricating multichannel sensor arrays. In this research, based on the fluorescence characteristics of carbon quantum dots, two types of sensor arrays were successfully designed to detect metal ions and thiol compounds respectively. This article studies the performance of two sensor array, and obtained the following conclusions:1.Seven kinds of carbon quantum dots with size of 4-12 nm were synthesized by microwave and hydrothermal method. The sensor array constructed by seven different carbon quantum dots was used to detect six metal ions by principal component analysis(PCA).The applicable range of 4-8 array pH;concentration range of metal ion detection for 50-1600 ?M.2.Three kinds of carbon quantum dots with a size of 8-10 nm were synthesized by microwave method with amino acid as carbon source.Silver ions can quench the three carbon quantum dot solutions, and the addition of thiol compounds to silver ions will restore the fluorescence of carbon dots.Using this sensor array, six kinds of sulfhydryl compounds were detected by principal component analysis.
