Shape memory polymer(SMP)is a kind of new type of functional polymer which can be restored to its original shape under the external stimuli such as heat,light and electric field.In recent years,with the rise of flexible wearable smart devices,its high value-added applications have drawn wide attention.SMP has a smart thermal response features including adjustable shape,thermal transition controllable properties.Therefore,SMP can be applied in the field of smart wearable.In this field,epoxy resin macromolecule polymers are hard to be widely used due to their high brittleness,low elongation,poor skin-friendly properties and single reaction mode.This article uses a variety of ways to expand the characteristics of shape memory polymers,combined with the existing new smart materials,so that high recovery materials have the advantages of composite response,high strain,high modulus,etc.,to provide a wider range of applications for the flexible wearable field basis.For the synthesis,preparation,properties,applications and cross-expansion of thermally driven shape memory polymers,experimental studies and specific analyses were conducted.(1)Epoxy shape memory polymers with different properties were synthesized by epoxy resin and two kinds of crosslinking agents.The thermodynamic properties,mechanical properties and shape memory properties of the samples were tested and determined.The influence of different processes on the performance of SMP was discussed.The resulting process parameters can produce SMPs with both moderate tensile deformation and high shape recovery.(2)Using SMP with large strain and good recovery performance for application research,response composites were prepared by several different methods,and the response effects,composite responses,and mechanical properties of these composites were examined.Finally,a composite material with excellent properties and moderate modulus was obtained,providing a theoretical reference for flexible wearable substrates.(3)SMP composites were used as the core layer,and the chromogenic material was used as the skin layer to obtain the core-structured composite responsive smart material.The prepared smart response materials include stretchable color film materials,stretchable color-developing fiber materials,and memory stretch color-developing fiber materials.The microstructure,mechanical properties and composite response effects of the composites were studied.The intrinsic relationship between the special properties of the new chromogenic materials and the microstructure was revealed.The new composite materials obtained will expand the application range of smart wearable materials.
