Grinding,as a traditional processing method has unique advantages and characteristics compared to other michining methods.Grinding processing not only has high processing efficiency and low cost,but also can meet the special surface processing requirements.At present,the texture surface grinding is one of the important research directions in the field of grinding.In this paper,the engineered grinding wheel is applied to grinding process for the texture surface,and the monolayer engineering wheels were fabricated by using the orderly arrangement of the abrasive grains.Through theoretical research on the arrangement of abrasive grains,a related kinematics model on gringding texture surface was established and grinding process on texture surface also was simulated,the grinding mechanism was analyzed and investigated by experiments.The specific research contents are as follows: 1.Through the kinematics study on grinding texture surface by the engineering grinding wheel,the relative motion equation between the grinding wheel and the workpiece is established,and with the help of the arrangement of the abrasive grains on grinding wheel the kinematics condition of the grinding surface was also established.The kinematical generating processes of the texture surfaces were simulated by the use of simulation software.According to the results of the three-dimensional simulation,the rule of generating texture surface was analyzed,and the reliability of the model was determined.At the same time,based on the simulation results,reasonable configuration parameters on abrasive grain and processing parameters on grinding processes were selected,which laid the foundation for subsequent experimental research.2.The researches on the design and fabrication of engineered grinding wheels were carried out.According to the requirements of texture surface grinding,an grinding wheel with abrasive ordered configuration was designed.The affect of the abrasive contour on the grinding wheel surface on generating the texture surface was analyzed and the abrasive grain size was selected.The electroplating processes for manufacturing the grinding wheel with ordered abrasive pattern by the mask plating method were formulated,and the electroplating CBN grinding wheel with abrasive phyllotactic,array and pattern were obtained.The defects of the electroplated grinding wheel were analyzed,to improve the electroplating process ensure the tightness between the grain and the wheel matrix,and the number of abrasive grains on the grinding wheel surface.3.The experimental investigation for grinding regular surface was carried out by electroplating CBN grinding wheels with abrasive ordered pattern.The surface texture of plateau riblets and dimple was ground by the CBN grinding wheel with abrasive phyllotactic,array and staggered pattern.The generating mechanism and defects of the surface texture were analyzed and the established mathematical model and simulation results were also verified,The experimental investigation on removing of the plastic bump of the texture surface by PVA grinding wheel was carried out and the surface texture was also achieved.Finally,the research conclusions,were obtained and some suggestions were put forward based on the problems that were discovered in the research process,for follow-up work.
