Gear is an important and basic component in industrial production;its manufacturing level is not only closely related to the machining process,but also affected by the process equipment.For the cycloid gear,due to the complex shape of cycloid gear and processing technology,therefore,the cycloid gears manufacturing capacity to some extent reflect the level of industrial manufacturing of a country.With the continuous development of computer control technology and modern machinery,forming grinding has become one of the main processing methods of the cycloid gear finishing stage because of its advantages of high efficiency and high precision.In order to make the CNC system can be better embedded grinding machine and meet the diverse needs of different users,the future development direction of CNC system must be open and intelligent,which can be convenient for users to carry out proper development based on the original CNC system.At present,most of the domestic use of gear grinding machines installed foreign CNC system,although with good openness,but no Chinese user interface,this differs from ours in operation habit and human machine interface.During application,there is abundant alteration process between the man-machine interface and the NC system,it is difficult for users to install,debug,program,operate and maintain etc.Therefore,this article starts from the principle of forming grinding and based on the CNC system development platform of NUM Flexium,the forming grinding CAM system is developed for the cycloid gear,and the Visual Basic6.0 programming software is used to design the interface of CAM system.The design and development of the interface is reasonable and friendly,and it includes workpiece management,gear parameters and grinding parameters set etc.The developed cycloid gear forming grinding CAM system is connected with the NUM Flexium system to realize the information transmission between the interface and the CNC system.The user can automatically process the cycloid gear by inputting gear parameters and grinding parameters in the interface,it simplifies the user's workflow,greatly improves the efficiency of the workpiece processing and can also meet the user's needs of individual technology.According to the principle of cycloid gear forming grinding control,the construction of cycloid gear forming grinding simulation platform and the configuration of system parameters is completed under VERICUT environment,the simulation of cycloid gear forming grinding process is realized and the simulation results are verified.It not only proves the correctness of NC programs and machine tools,but also provides a guide to the real machining and prevents unnecessary errors.
