Kiwi fruit is very delicious and nutritious,and all the countries develop it against each other.In recent years,the product market of kiwi fruit is more and more big.The amount of by-product---kiwi seed was gradually increased.This kiwi seed mostly discarded except for a small amount of processed feed,not only bring the environmental pollution but also cause resources to waste.Therefore,an urgent problem to be solved is how to make full use of kiwi seed.Nowadays,at home and abroad,research on extraction process,physicochemical properties and fatty acid composition of kiwifruit seed oil are the hot problems.However it was seldom reported on the selection of kiwifruit seed varieties.At the same time,research on the treatment of high-fat-induced obesity in kiwi seed oil is also a blank.In this paper,the fatty acid compositions,physiochemical properties and antioxidant activities of eight varieties of kiwi seed oil in Shan'xi were comparatively investigated.The mechanism of kiwifruit seed oil on lipid metabolism in obese mice was also discussed,in order to provide references for the exploitation and utilization of kiwi seed oil.The main results of this paper is as follows:1.There is significant difference in the moisture content,ash content,protein content,fat content and total phenolic of the eight varieties of kiwi seed?P?0.05??Qinmei,Yate,Xuxiang,Haywai,Hort 16 A,Huayou,Hongyang,Kuilv?.Kuilv had the highest oil content?34.84±0.19g/100 g?and protein content?14.94±0.94 g/100 g?,which is a good source of oil and protein.In addition,the fatty acid was composed with linolenic acid,linoleic acid,stearic acid,palmitic acid and arachidic acid and so on.The average content of linolenic acid is up to 64.38%;The density?0.88-0.91 mg/mL?,Refractive Index?1.4824-1.4802?,Acid Value?3.21-3.99 mg KOH/g oil?,Peroxide Value?7.23-14.15 mmol/kg oil?,Iodine Price?177.22-202.15 g I/100 g oil?of kiwi seed oil has obvious difference between varieties.2.The antioxidant activities of eight cultivars of kiwi seed oil were investigated by four methods?DPPH,HO·,ORAC and FRAP?.The results showed that there is a significant antioxidant activity in different varieties of kiwi seed oil.In the FRAP assay,the highest value was found for Hongyang?107.3±0.3 mg Trolox/kg?,and the lowest value for Hort 16A?3.30±0.7 mg Trolox/kg?.A similar pattern was found in the ORAC assay:Hongyang had the highest value?1.99±0.21 mg Trolox/kg?.For the DPPH·assay,the highest value was found for Yate?35.1±2.06 mg/mL for IC50?,and the lowest value for Haywai?25.7±5.12 mg/mL for IC50?,whereas for the HRSC assay,Yate had the lowest value(0.93±0.007 mg/mL for IC50),and the highest value was observed for Xuxiang?1.91±0.01 mg/mL for IC50?.Comprehensive evaluation of 8varieties of kiwifruit seed oil in vitro antioxidant capacity,Hongyang better than other varieties.The comet assay further verified that the kiwi seed oil can protected mice lymphocytes against oxidative DNA damage,and dose-effect relationship.3.High fat induced obese C57BL/6J mice were used to investigate the antiobesity effects of kiwi seed oil.Results showed that dietary supplement with kiwi seed oil could reduce the body weight but not calorie intake in high fat diet induced obese mice,furthermore,supplement kiwi seed oil alleviated high fat diet induced hyperglycemia,improved insulin resistance,increased insulin sensitivity,decreased the liver lipid levels,attenuated hepatic steatosis and improved the expression of genes related to fat metabolism in the liver.
