Study On The Preparation Of Compatibilizer ABS-g-MAH And Its Application In PBT/ABS Alloy By Reaction Extrusion

The grafting of functional groups or Polar side-chains on non-polar polymers can improve the compatibility of non-polar polymers and other materials to a certain extent,the performance of the alloy is improved,which greatly broadens the application field of the material.This article uses maleic anhydride and ABS resin to obtain the grafted product by twin screw extruder,it can be concluded that the absorption peak of carbonyl C=O in the infrared spectrum of the branch structure of ABS appears at 1784 cm^-1.Which show that MAH grafted onto ABS successfully,the graft rate of three kinds of self-made compatibilizers with different grafting ratio was 0.83%,1.11%and 1.21%.PBT and ABS were mixed to make plastic alloy with excellent performance,which avoided the disadvantages of poor size of PBT,high shrinkage of crystallization and sensitive gap.However,because of the poor compatibility between the two phases,it is the best choice to prepare reasonable and effective compatibilizer.Based on the principle of compatibility,three kinds of compatibilizer R-1,R-2,R-3 and SMA were used to investigate the effect of each compatibilizer on the properties of the alloy,the result,show that the self-made compatibilizer R-3 is superior to the other two graft-rate compatibilizers,and can be compared with SMA in the market,so it can replace SMA.At the same time,the optimum dosage of self-made compatibilizer was studied.The toughening and modification of the alloy with different toughening agents,such as high rubber powder,MBS,PTW and ACR.It can be concluded that the self-made compatibilizer can replace the compatibilizer SMA in which R-3 has the best compatibility with PBT/ABS Alloy,which improves the comprehensive properties of the alloy to some extent,but the compatibilizer is not the more the better,the synthesis of the alloy was the best between5%and 11%of the compatibilizer.Under the action of the self-made compatibilizer,the addition of the toughening agent was the best at 5%-10%.
