Since the reform and opening-up to the world in China,our country's economy has developed rapidly.People's life has been greatly improved.What's more,there are plenty problems such as excessive resource consumption and serious environmental pollution because of extensive economic development.Coal as a non-renewable resource,and will main force the power fuel today and in the future.However,the combustion of coal will aggravate the greenhouse effect.So we should pay attention to the measures.First of all,we must grasp the status of energy consumption in the power industry,and understand the greenhouse gas emissions.Based on this comparison and analysis,it is also convenient for further decision making and improvement of greenhouse gas emission reduction in Ningxia and even China.This study based on this to analyze the current situation of thermal power emission reduction and clean production capacity in Ningxia area,and put forward several suggestions.This paper first introduced the structure of electric power in Ningxia such as the present development situation of Ningxia theramal power industry such as generating capacity,installed capacity,operation time and coal equivalent calculation,and discussed the reduction condition in Ningxia area,constructs the corresponding calculation model of energy saving and emission reduction,and finger out the problems of thermal power industry in Ningxia area.Then,set up LEAP model with the method of scenario analysis,renewable energy and natural gas alternative scenarios of alternative scenarios and scenario,analysis Ningxia thermal power emission reduction and clean production,forecast the power demand in Ningxia area,and analyzes the power potential of cleaner production in Ningxia area.First of all,during 2016 based on leap,the total power installed capacity in Ningxia will up to 21860MW,near to the fact 21650MW.Second.compared with 2011,by 2020,the potential of CO2 cleaner production in Ningxia policy target mode is the largest,increase 16.2 million tons.Two,The prospect of CO2 emission reduction in the energy optimization scenario is the smallest,its clean production potential is 1,487 million tons,but according to the current development trend of thermal power industry in Ningxia,there is still a certain gap to achieve the government set emission reduction scenarios.Third,during the twelfth five-year plan,the total power installed capacity in Ningxia will raised 1939MW,198390MW in total and 10.8%increased per year.As this mode goes to,by the year 2020,total power installed capacity in Ningxia should the scheme should be 33129.8MW,very closed to the target 32000MW set by government in Ningxia.
