As an important equipment for the petrochemical industry,ball cans will be devastating in the event of problems during their service.These accidents will not only cause major economic losses,but may also cause major casualties.In order to reduce the destruction of the spherical tanks by earthquakes,based on the research of domestic and foreign scholars,based on the structural characteristics of the spherical tanks,two methods of vibration damping,visco-elastic dampers and visco-elastic dampers,are studied.From the numerical simulation analysis and theoretical analysis of the finite element,the ground motion response was compared and analyzed.The research contents are as follows:1.Based on the existing theories,the simplified analytical mechanics model of the non-controlled spherical tank structure and the controlled spherical tank structure are established,and the motion control equations are given.The results obtained from different ground motion input calculations and the results of finite element numerical simulation are performed.The comparative analysis shows that the difference between the results of the theoretical analysis and the finite element calculation is within a very small range,and the two verify the accuracy of the results.2.The shock absorption model of the additional viscous damper is established.The comparison of the damping coefficient,different velocity index,different configuration scheme and response of ground motions with different ground motion inputs under different speed indexes is performed.The results show that the viscous dampers are different.The ground vibratory input has better control effect;by adding viscous dampers on the ball tank support structure,the ground motion response of the spherical tank structure can be reduced to a certain extent;the parameters,configuration scheme,etc.of the viscous damper Need to consider the actual situation of the project.3.A shock-absorbing model of an additional viscoelastic damper was established,parameters of the viscoelastic damper were designed,and different configurations of the viscoelastic damper attached to the spherical tank structure,different damping ratios,different ground motion inputs,and different earthquakes The ground motion response when the dynamic intensity is input is studied.The result shows that the viscoelastic damper will consume energy under the action of a small ground motion;by adding a viscoelastic damper to the spherical tank support structure,it can be reduced to a certain degree.Earthquake response of the spherical tank structure;the parameters and configuration scheme of the viscoelastic damper also need to be comprehensively taken into account in the actual project situation.
