Storage tank is an important assurance for energy use, reproduction, and supply facilities,which widely used in the oil, nuclear engineering, shipbuilding, chemical industry and other fields. Recently our country pay more and more attention on the development of the technical level of the research on storage tanks. Earthquake is a kind of natural hazard that occurs suddenly with great destruction, have an adverse effect on tank of liquid sloshing in tanks. As a result, while the earthquake frequency rounded the system natural frequency,many collapses of storage tanks are occurred after the earthquake, which not only causes quantities of economic losses and casualties,but also more serious secondary disasters such as fire, explosion and environment pollution. Therefore, this paper studies the effects of storage tank system’s fluid-solid coupling mechanism and fluid on tank wall, and makes modal analysis and time history response analysis about dynamic response of storage tank system under external incentive. Then the seismic response curve of tank is achieved to provide parameters for tank’s model and damage identification. To make sure that the tank system safely operates in daily work and the disaster loss and environmental pollution are reduced in case of sudden load, the seismic response control issue of storage tank system is studied to improve tank body’s structure resistance and reduce the destructive force of the seismic load on the storage tank.All the research is an important topic related to the social sustainable development.The liquid sloshing issue of storage tank system is a very complex fluid motion’s phenomenon that presents strong nonlinearity and randomicity. Due to many uncertainty factors among the research, the results obtained can’t truly reflect the actual state of the seismic response of the storage tank and so the serious issue impossible to defend effectively, cannot be avoided in the tank design. Recently the research inland and abroad on the problem of liquid storage tanks mainly focus on liquid sloshing in two-dimension but less in three-dimension. In fact, some complex storage tanks aren’t able to be studied in two-dimension. The numerical simulation commonly uses self-compiled program to analyse the liquid sloshing in three-dimension. Considering the function and the limitation of the calculation precision, the error between results obtained and the theoretical value is larger. Consequently a way suitable for all arbitrary shape containers is needed to find out to solve the liquid sloshing in three-dimension. The liquid sloshing control problem of storage tank system is less discussed, while how to reduce the liquid sloshing under external incentive load should be paid attention.The following research is done based on the above problems: Content1:Research on Natural Frequency and Modal Problem of A Rigid Tank’s Liquid Sloshing(1) Based on acoustic model algorithm, the fluid can adopt acoustic elements, and it’s free surface must be ’skinned’ with membrane elements. And a grounded spring is attached to each node on the free surface of the fluid to establish the finite element model of3D liquid sloshing in rectangular tank.(2) With ABAQUS, the finite element software, the corresponding analysis program is made to study the eigenfrequency and the modal of liquid sloshing. Meanwhile compare the numerical results with analytical solution to check the correctness. The results provide a new analysis method for the study of dynamic property of3D liquid sloshing.(3) Finally, this paper analyses the relationship between the shaking frequency and liquid depth, width of liquid storage tank with different liquid depth-width ratio considered, from which general liquid sloshing rules can be achieved. Content2:Dynamic Analysis of3D Liquid Sloshing in Cylindrical Liquid Storage Tanks with BafflesBy using typical acoustic model algorithm of ABAQUS, the3D model of liquid storage tanks with ring baffles is established, which is used to study the variation of the natural frequency and the natural modal of liquid sloshing when baffles are used as liquid storage tank sloshing damper and also to analyse how anti sway characteristic is affected by the influence factors such as the baffle number, width, thickness, installation location, etc. Content3:Fluid-solid Coupling Mechanism(1) Using the fluid acoustic element (AC3D8), free surface membrane element (M3D4R), spring element (spring1), flexibility of tank wall shell element (S4R), solid-liquid interaction surface coupling element (ASI4), the3D solid-liquid coupling sloshing mathematical model of elastic storage tank is established.(2) Using ABAQUS, the finite element software, the corresponding analysis program is made and the displacement-stress (u, p) format in finite element method of fluid-solid coupling is adapted to study the eigenfrequency and the modal of liquid sloshing. Meanwhile compare the numerical results with analytical solution to check the correctness. The results provide a new analysis method for the study of dynamic property of3D liquid sloshing. (3) Finally, this paper analyses the relationship between the shaking frequency and liquid depth, width, thickness of liquid storage tank with different liquid depth-width ratio and wall thickness considered, from which general liquid sloshing rules can be achieved when considering the solid-liquid coupling. Content4:Analysis on Rigid/Elastic Seismic Response of Liquid Storage ContainerUsing ABAQUS, the finite element software, the corresponding analysis program is made to establish the finite element model of rigid/flexible reservoir system under earthquake, which is used to study the dynamic response and the deformation damage mechanism of the tank under the condition of earthquake. Content5:Analysis on Seismic Response of Liquid Storage Container with Elastic BafflesUsing ABAQUS, the finite element software, the corresponding analysis program is made to establish the solid-liquid coupling finite element model of liquid storage system with elastic baffles under earthquake, which is used to study the dynamic response of the tank and the liquid sloshing control problem under the condition of earthquake.
