Modified 954 epoxy resin is a widely used heavy anticorrosive coating,which can solve the corrosion problem of corrosive ion corrosion in the surrounding environment of metal substrate.In addition,because of its good wear resistance,it can solve a certain degree of wear problem.In this paper,the physical and chemical properties and corrosion resistance of the modified 954 epoxy resin were tested by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy,wear resistance,flexibility,scanning electron microscope observation and analysis,aging test and so on.The failure mechanism of each failure phase of the coating was analyzed.First of all,the physical and chemical properties of modified 954 epoxy resin were systematically investigated,and the effect of the glass scales in the pigments and fillers on the performance of the coating was introduced.Glass flakes can change the structure of the coating and extend the path of the corrosion medium to the substrate,thus effectively improving the corrosion resistance of the coating.The ratio of each component of the modified 954 epoxy resin is determined,so that it has better physical and corrosion resistance.The wear resistance,adhesion and impact resistance of the coating are measured by the physical testing methods such as wear resistance test,adhesion test and impact resistance test.The physical properties of the modified 954 epoxy resin can meet the requirements,and the physical properties of the modified epoxy resin can meet the requirements of the experiment.The aging resistance and seawater corrosion resistance of the coating are measured by chemical test and seawater immersion test.The chemical properties of the modified 954 epoxy resin can meet the requirements,and the experimental analysis shows that all thechemical properties of the modified epoxy resin can meet the requirements of the experiment.The microstructure and functional groups of the coating were observed and analyzed by scanning electron microscope(SEM),Fu Liye infrared spectroscopy and electrochemical experiments,and the corrosion resistance mechanism of the coating was analyzed.By scanning electron microscopy,the lamellar structure inside the coating can be observed.The main components and functional groups of the coating can be analyzed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.The corrosion resistance mechanism of the coating was determined by electrochemical experiments.At the beginning of the experiment,the water molecules spread to the interior of the coating.In the middle of the experiment,the water molecules were saturated in the coating and the corrosive ions spread to the substrate.After the experiment,the corrosive ions arrived at the base material and the coating appeared in the macro hole.The coating completely failed.
