Along with the continuous development of China's manufacturing industry,machining centers with high precision and complex parts are becoming more and more important.The five axis machining center is a high precision machining center for machining complex space surfaces.At present,some schools have set up courses related to the five axis machining center.Based on the virtual reality technology,a five axis machining center simulation system,through the Unity3D engine and C#script,has been designed and publishez for teaching practice and practical production guidance.In the simulation system,the DMU 50 was modeled accurately by 1:1,and the high reducibility of the complex iTNC530 CNC system was simulated.At the same time,the NC code base data structure and the code interpretation module of the simulation system were designed to identify the NC codes and perform the operation.The NC code in the simulation software can also be used directly in production and processing.After the analysis of the existing collision algorithm,collision detection was carried out by using the k-DOPs bounding box method.Finally,a 3D cutting algorithm based on dot matrix was designed.The grid shape was changed by adding and deleting the key points in the dot matrix to simulate the cutting process.And the posture and cutting judgement of the cutter were deduced through mathematical model.Finally,five axis machining center simulation software in this paper was completed which can be a good simulation of manual cutting and automatic cutting.Also it reduced the operation and interface of CNC system,read,stored and edited the NC code.The early warning module was designed by collision detection,which was used to train the user's good operation habits and the system also provided two cases for teaching and training.
