Research On The Shared Space And Furniture Design Of Preschool Children Room

Since the full opening of the second-child policy in 2015,the family structure in cities of China is facing an increasing trend from one-child to two-child families,accordingly,indoor space and furniture will also be attached increasing attention to.With the change of social family structre in our country,there is an urgent need for a new design method on second-born household users and adapting to the needs of the children’s space and furniture market in our country,and furtherly realizing the sharing function of space and furniture for two children.The object of this paper is focus on preschool children aged 3-6 years old.Through the study of preschool children’s physiology and psychology,this paper analyzed the environment factors and design thoughts of preschool children’s sharing game area,studying area,resting area and storage area,and gave a detailed case study of the furniture in each sharing area.This paper discussed the relationship between the children’s room space layout and furniture design in this age group,and summed up the design methods of the 3-6-year-old preschool children’s sharing space and sharing furniture.The design of space should be carried out in three aspects:function,color and lighting,ant the design of furniture should be carried out in terms of versatility,safety,comfort,interest and education.According to the results of the survey,a house plan of a representative children’s room was selected from a community in Harbin.The arrangement and design was performed for three kinds of families:two preschool boys,two preschool girls and one preschool boy and one preschool girl.This made it consistent with children’s growth patterns and changes in different family structures.This thesis aimed at families with two preschool children and put forward the research methods of sharing space layout and furniture design in children’s rooms.It conforms to the trend of the modern human life and the humanized development in children’s growth,and inspire the future design of children’s space and furniture.This research will help the designers to understand the needs of users in depth and pointedly,and help them to create more scientific,reasonable,comfortable and practical children’s space and furniture.
