The industrial mass production mode has driven human consumption desire.People in the process of materialistic consumption accumulate a large number of items, but some of them are idle.As a big country of toy manufacturing and consumption,China's 320 million children's population has driven the vigorous development of toy consumption market, but it has also produced the contradiction between the growing demand for toys and the accumulation of idle toys. This has resulted in such a family situation, that is,old toys are difficult to deal with in the later stage, and new toys are constantly presented, making a large number of toys are idle and abandoned before they have finished their life cycle.Human beings are constantly chasing and updating better products for the healthy growth of children. With the environmental pollution problems of urban communities highlighted, building sustainable communities has become one of the main trends in urban development today.Based on this background, this paper aims to propose a communitycentered sustainable consumption strategy for children's idle toys. From theoretical analysis to practical research, this study explores the ways to realize children's toys sharing in the community. The research can be divided into three stages. The first stage is theoretical analysis.Firstly, the sustainable design theory and the design method of sharing economy are studied.Through literature collection and sorting, the definition, framework, influencing factors and methods of sustainable design are sorted out,and the four elements of sustainable design, including environment, society, economy and technology,as well as the design methods focusing on creating sustainable consumption and behavior, are determined to provide theoretical support for the construction of toy sharing behavior.Secondly,by summarizing the definition of sharing economy, the current research status at home and abroad and the classification of sharing economy, the four basic elements of sharing economy are sorted out.The four basic elements are taken as the core elements of the toy sharing design strategy to form the basic framework for the service of the toy sharing design system, and to guide the subsequent service system and design practice. The second stage carries on the toy market research and the user research through the qualitative and the quantitative research method.Firstly, the market trend and trend of toy sharing are studied through PEST analysis, combined with the toy sharing platform on the market, the design opportunity points of toy sharing are summarized by using SWOT method.Secondly, through the online questionnaire survey and offline user interviews, the home user model is constructed to summarize the explicit and invisible needs of toy sharing users. In the third stage, based on the results and experience of the previous two stages, the design of community-centered service system for children's toy sharing and the design of toy sharing cabinet are put forward by formulating the design strategy of children's toy sharing, and constructing the framework of service system and the stakeholder diagrams.Combined with the service system design of design achievement and the design of industrial products, the virtual and physical products of the children's toy sharing system are realized, providing a reference guide for the children's toy sharing from the perspective of sustainable design.Combining design and economics, the three stages explore the need and design focus of community-centered children's toy sharing from the perspective of sustainable design. The demand of children's toy sharing in community is put forward, and the service system and product element allocation are carried out to provide enlightenment for realizing the social value of items sharing and circular economy.
