Electromagnetic induction heating technology is widely used in metallurgy,steelmaking and other industrial production due to its advantages of rapid heating,less energy consumption and no pollution.Hot rolling is a typical steel production technique,of which the basic steps are using the initial slab as raw material,heating,roughing rolling mill,and finishing mill rolling.Before the slab rolling,Temperature control of the slab before rolling is key to the hot rolling process,which directly affects the rolling efficiency.This paper mainly focuses on the three-dimensional finite element simulation of slab heating,soaking and reheating.The main research work is as follows:(1)Three-dimensional finite element simulation of slab induction heating process: Firstly,mesh the three slabs.Then analyze the micro-elements and the eddy current effect between each other,complete the 3D finite element modeling of the slab heating process.Finally write ANSYS software APDL program to simulate the induction heating process.Taking the temperature profile of the crosssection MN path at 1/3 longitudinal position of the slab,to analyze the temperature distribution and variation of three kinds of slab during induction heating.It can be concluded that the greater the slab's aspect ratio is,the more complicated the temperature distribution of the slab cross-section path after heating will be,and the lower the temperature of the corner area after heating is.(2)Three-dimensional finite element simulation of slab soaking process: Take the heated slab as the research object,set a certain period of soaking,and complete three kinds of slabs for soaking finite element simulation.Analyzing the longitudinal 1/3 of the location of the cross-section of the temperature curve of the path.It can be concluded that the 30 s soaking cycle can reduce the temperature fluctuation range of MN,OP and OM cross-sections of the slab in the longitudinal 1/3 of the slab respectively by 3 ?,19.6 ? and 28.6 ?.In addition,whether the insulation cover has effects on the temperature of the slab during the soaking stage was discussed,and the simulation shows that applying the insulation cover during 30 s soaking can raise the minimum slab temperature by 10 ? on average.(3)Three-dimensional finite element simulation of slab reheating process: Aiming at the problem of local flux transversal flux in double C shape sensor,the Kriging difference algorithm is used to give an initial uniform temperature field of the slab,using ANSYS finite element method to simulate the slab edge heating process.Simulation shows that the effect of double C-shaped sensor edge heating effect is obvious,80.64 s heat can make the edge temperature rise about 47 ?.
