Recently,increasing attention has been concentrated toward the development of superhydrophobic materials with unique structure,properties,and extended applications in the field of anti-corrosion,anti-icing,anti-fogging,self-cleaning,anti-fouling,drag reduction,oil-water separation and others sectors.Superhydrophobic materials still have some limitations such as poor reusability,high cost and so on.RTV silicone rubber is extensively used in many fields due to its excellent performance.Hence,to explore the application of RTV silicone rubber in superhydrophobic materials research and combining its advantages with superhydrophobic materials to resolve defects in current superhydrophobicity field is rather important for pushing development of superhydrophobic materials.The main works are listed as follows:(1)Preparation of oil-water separation material with excellent durability.MoS2 nanosheets easily fall off the sponge skeleton,leading to lower superhydrophobic performance and pollution of oil solution.The MoS2@RTV sponge was prepared by curing the MoS2 nanosheets on the sponge skeleton through the cross-linking reaction of RTV silicone rubber to solve the problem about poor durability of MoS2 sponge.Compared with MoS2 sponge,MoS2@RTV sponge can greatly improve the durability stability of superhydrophobicity performance for the ability against mechanical damage.The MoS2@RTV sponge shows excellent superhydrophobicity regardless of deformations such as bending,squeezing,twisting,even abrasing or constant pressure by 90%.Superhydrophobic MoS2@RTV sponge shows excellent reusability.(2)Rapid prepare method for superhydrophobic metals.Superhydrophobic aluminum alloy were prepared by immersing etched samples in RTV silicone rubber solution.Comparing other articles,the efficiency of this method is the highest in the immersing modification method.RTV silicone rubber solution treatment for surperhydrophobic alloy surface only needs 30 seconds,which is several hundred times or even thousand times faster than immersing solution modification.It was determined through testing and analysis that cross-linking reaction with curing agent to produce RTV silicone rubber on the aluminum alloy.That is the reason for huge difference in modification efficience.This immersing modification principle is obviously different from the modification principle of silane or alkanoic acid.To explore the general application of RTV silicone rubber solution,we also prepared the superhydrophobic pure Al and steel by immersing their pre-etched surfaces in RTV silicone rubber solution.It is clearly seen that water droplets on these alloys surfaces exhibit superhydrophobicity with high contact angle of about 168°± 1.2°and 169°±1.5°,respectively.(3)Preparation of flexible superhydrophobic film.First,the aluminum template was heat treated,and the treated aluminum sample was then etched by hot acid solution to obtain micro-nano roughness structures on aluminum surface.After that,PDMS solution(methylene chloride as solvent)was poured onto the surface of the etched template.Then cured by heating,after that which was dissolved in sodium hydroxide solution to obtain flexible superhydrophobic silicon rubber films.The preparation process is simple and has less dependence on the instrument and equipment.It can make a high precision topology for the micro and nano scale,and can prepare the flexible super hydrophobic silicone rubber film on a large scale and low costs.The flexible superhydrophobic film exhibit outstanding anti-icing and anti-corrosion properties.
