| Global warming and climate change are issues that have aroused widespread attention,,and reducing carbon emissions has become a global consensus. The impact of trade embodied carbon emission and its associated carbon emission transfer on the allocation of carbon emission among countries have become the key issue of climate governance. In response to the tough climate change, the Chinese government has set national targets for reducing emissions, highlighting the responsibility of provincial governments to meet their targets.Under the condition of open economy, however, trade ties between the provinces by transferring to other provinces and cities such as high carbon industry shifts some of the carbon emissions. There is an embodied carbon emission in the inter-provincial trade, making the difference between the carbon emission and the actual carbon emission in the provinces, which will have a profound impact on the future carbon emission pattern of each province. Therefore, further clarifying the basic position of trade embodied and scientifically recognizing the influencing factors of trade carbon emissions play a key role in promoting climate change governance and achieving emission reduction targets to various provinces and cities. This paper selects Shanxi Province,a typical province with the higher national carbon emission intensity as the research subject.Considering the internal and external development of Shanxi Province, from the perspective of trade between provinces, the multi-regional input-output model(MRIO)is used to measure the transfer of carbon emission of Shanxi Province in 2002,2007 and 2012,and the interphase analysis of "space-industry" is carried out.On this basis, structural decomposition analysis(SDA)is used to analyze the factors such as the carbon intensity of industry sector, the intermediate input and output structure, the product structure, the source distribution of the product and the scale of the demand, which affect the transfer of carbon emission in the inter-provincial trade of Shanxi Province, and to identify themechanism of the influencing factors. The results of research show that: From 2002 to 2012 the amount of carbon emissions embodied continued to increase and the carbon emission of each industry sector was different, but the proportion structure was stable. The carbon intensity of industrial sectors and the scale of final demand are the key factors, and for industrial sectors, the role of intermediate input and output structure effect is particularly remarkable. The long-term "surplus" of the industrial sectors in the inter-provincial trade enabled Shanxi Province to be a "net transfer" province. The geographical scope of the carbon emissions embodied in the inter-provincial trade enlarged and decentralized. The effect of five factors on the amount of carbon emission in the inter-provincial trade of Shanxi Province is different. Finally, this paper comes up with a set of policy suggestions in support of low-carbon transition of Shanxi Province. |
