Along with the implementation of the national highway network "71118" project,the expressway continues to extend to the mountain area.Due to the constraints of terrain and geomorphology,the continuous growth and downhill section of the mountainous expressway is inevitable,and the line shape of this section is worse than that of the general section,and the situation of traffic safety is very severe.In order to improve the safety of Expressway in mountain areas,it is undoubtedly of great theoretical and practical value to analyze and study the driving safety factors and the distribution characteristics of traffic accidents,identify the accident location accurately,and put forward the safety measures to reduce the accident rate and the severity of the accident.In this paper,based on the data of traffic accidents,traffic volume and other data in the last two years of the Ma Zhao's 47 km highway in Yunnan,the characteristics of the accident and the safety countermeasures are studied.First,according to the highway traffic accident data of the provinces and municipalities directly under the central government of the country,the relationship between four indexes of millions of car accidents per year,the death toll of millions of cars per year,the number of millions of cars injured in a kilometer,and the annual kilometer property loss are considered,and the negative index of the safety level of the construction of the expressway is explored.Based on the model,we evaluated the safety level of traffic operation on the continuous and long downhill section of Ma Zhao expressway.Then,on the basis of analyzing the factors affecting the accident from four angles,such as people,cars,roads and environment,the characteristics of traffic accident time,space,vehicle type,weather type,form distribution and so on are systematically and deeply analyzed.Secondly,on the basis of comparing the advantages and disadvantages and applicability of the multiple location identification methods at home and abroad,four indexes,such as the number of accidents,the number of injuries,the number of deaths,the number of damaged vehicles,are converted into a comprehensive safety evaluation index F value,and the cluster analysis method is applied to each road on the basis of the advantages and disadvantages and the applicability of the multiple location identification methods at home and abroad.The F values of segment units are clustered,and the ranking of risk levels of various sections is obtained.Finally,the causes of the accident are analyzed from the coordination of running speed,the temperature rise law of the truck brakes and the comfort of the people,and the countermeasures are put forward from the speed control,the setting of the escape lane,the traffic safety management,the structure of the light reduction in the tunnel entrance and the sight distance.
