| In the current risk society,with the rapid development of science and technology,a large number of social risks accompanied by the birth.Transgenic technology has been accompanied with great controversy since it was produced,especially in the application of food,and it has been the world’s strong concern.All people pay more attention to genetically modified food because it’s related to their own health.The related research on risk perception is an important research topic in the field of communication science in recent years.The risk communication of genetically modified food issues has also attracted the attention and research of many scholars at home and abroad.Research on the risk perception of genetically modified food issues is of great practical significance to individuals,the media,and related departments.This paper tries to understand the public’s perception of risk and the influencing factors of genetically modified food issues through empirical research,and proceeds from the perspective of both the audience and the media to seek scientific communication channels for genetically modified food issues.After research,the level of public risk perception of genetically modified food in China is relatively high.Under the premise of controlling demographic variables,the degree of risk perception is mainly affected by factors such as media use and media trust,and the level of knowledge plays an important intermediary role.The higher the frequency of media use and the lower the degree of trust in the media lead to the higher the degree of risk perception.In the transmission of genetically modified food issue,the media should release the risk information of genetically modified food reasonably and consider the balance of information;it should also adhere to the principle of authenticity and strive to improve our credibility;at the same time,it should increase the popularization of science knowledge about genetically modified food to increase public understanding of genetically modified food. |
